Good place to meet

My colleague and I regularly meet here for a catch up. It's best to go out of season as it can get hectic. Service is good though and I have found food to be good quality

As part of a group tour of Salisbury Cathedral. This little restaurant provides home made food in a pleasant atmosphere. Can be very busy at times.

A visit to the Cathedral would not be complete without a cup of tea or a meal at the Refectory. It has a glass roof through which you can see the spire. The food was cafe style with soups, salad, a roast and sandwiches... perfect for lunch and if you are sightseeing. The staff were pleasant. But the best part... More

The Refectory itself has a glass roof through which you can see the Cathedral spire. Alternatively, you can sit outside at tables along the side of the Cloisters. Food and drink are okay, nothing really special but service is very friendly. Prices are relatively high.

Standard quality food overpriced. Disgusting tea (not sure who would persist in selling what looks like recycled leaf compost in a see through pot- what is wrong with a simple tea bag?) sandwiches and cakes average to poor and v expensive. On the day we visited our sons were served with gone off milk, luckily we checked it before they... More

This place had standard fare on view with cramped seating. The food looked good but we just had drinks. I had a pot of tea and it can only be describe as revolting. Only recently has the standard of tea making in such premises reached such a depressing low. Or is it a case of catch the tourist once, because... More

Visited the restaurant on the hoof, with the children, and thought the idea of a carvery as it was Sunday was better than opting for pub food and a queue elsewhere. Unfortunately the server, although very polite, was painstakingly slow at plating the food and carving the meat. The food was obviously 'on it's way to cold' before it was... More

Me and my wife like visiting salisbury and often come to this amazing cathedral and it's fabulous to sit in the grounds with a latte little bit pricey but drink was worth it and so was the service x
