Having been there quite frequently in recent weeks, all meals have been excellent as has been the service. Warm and welcoming. We were so impressed, that we asked them to cater for a 'Wake' for 80 guests recently. We were delighted with the way in which the function was organised.

We stopped in here after seeing Stonehenge and it was exactly what we needed. My husband ordered a burger the size of his head! Everything we ordered was delicious. We would definitely make a point to come back when we're in the area.

Two adults and one child, three drinks, two main courses one starter two nan breads and poppodoms £46. Firstly the hotel/pub restaurant is not a very nice place to sit, its in desperate need of some TLC and bringing up to acceptable 21st century standards. The noise from the public bar spills out into the dining area and is/was laced... More

As pub lunches go this is on the basic end of the scale, but the Porton hotel know what their strengths are and they play to them. We went there as a group for a leaving meal and had pre-ordered a selection of burgers and panninis. All arrived on queue and were well cooked and tasty. As noted in previous... More

I go probably 1-3 times a month with my beautiful wife, as we live just down the road, and we were very pleased to discover we had such a nice local! There's always decent beer and a good range of spirits that we have fun trying out. We've not eaten there yet, but the food always smells great!

This place does everything you would expect from a pub diner, and on top of that, the chef is Indian trained and does a full selection of Indian dishes. Had Tandoori chicken wings to start, which were exceptional, and the Burger for main. It needs capitalising because it was so very good! Home made and large enough to satisfy all... More

wow, a massive improvement since my last visit, every time we rebook here there are subtle but much improved changes. the new garden furniture and seating area is very welcoming for a refreshing beer in the summer sun, rooms were very clean and even though the building is dated more than adequate to unwind after a hard days work. evening... Sunday lunch for a party of 5, all well travelled restaurant eaters and all of us thought the Sunday roast was one of the best we'd eaten anywhere. The owners who run the hotel and restaurant couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. All of the food was piping hot (hot plates is always a winner) and freshly cooked and... More
