Our favourite pub was fully booked because of its popularity in giving quality and quantity at an acceptable price. We were passing and thought we would give The Bridge Inn a try instead. Unfortunately it was a mistake and just the opposite to what we appreciate elsewhere. The first disappointment was that there was not a single Ale/beer available!!! Only... More

I used to come here quite frequently so having returned to the area we thought it would be the perfect place to go with our baby. We arrived to find the beer hadn't been delivered so there was nothing on tap, they also had no bottled beer and no ready salted crisps. It says families are welcome and there were... More

I booked a table for five at this lovely riverside pub, we all chose different meals including the wonderful fishcakes , excellent cheese burger , cumberland sausage with caramelised onions and two a beautifully cooked lunches of roast beef. Staff were attentive but not intrusive and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Many thanks to Alana and her team.... More

The menu states that special dietary requirements are catered for, I'm a vegetarian (yep sorry!) who doesn't eat cheese/dairy (allergy) or fried food. My parents had travelled down from Warwickshire and asked me to book somewhere nice for them to have a roast lunch and where I would be able to eat. The Bridge was suggested as we'd previously had... My wife and I stopped for lunch as we happened to be passing and the garden looked attractive. My wife ordered a smoked salmon, cream cheese and watercress sandwich and chips. When my wife’s sandwich came there was rocket not watercress in it, so she sent it back, asking for watercress. When it came back there was no watercress or... More

Food just average but setting fantastic. Not a ton of choices but quiet and lovely location. Atmosphere better than food.

We had a wonderful meal for 4, service was friendly, welcoming and appropriately attentive. The restaurant is moden, but farmhouse kitchen comfortable. Ample space to sit outside by the river on a sunny day/evening. Food was excellent from a delicious, innovative menu. I would highly recommend. We went there as my parents had been about 10 years ago and loved... More

We enjoyed a thoroughly pleasant evening with family. We chose the Bridge because it is dog friendly, the food was delicious and the two young ladies who looked after us were attentive without being too fussy. We will certainly visit again, they had a large party arrive unexpectedly but thus did not impact on us at all!

... positively endangered. Four of us stopped for a late lunch bite on Tuesday 24 June after a visit to nearby Stonehenge. I had driven past many times and admired the riverside garden - so decided it was time to give it a try. Three of us ordered the GBP 9.95 ciabatta and chips (gourmet) sandwiches. We all got an... We lunched here on Tuesday of this week. It was a glorious day and we sat outside by the river watching the ducks, swans, and dragonflies on the river. Disappointed with the chicken Caesar wraps... Very little chicken, mostly lettuce and tomato. Herb chips were lovely though. Daughter enjoyed her smoked salmon and 'watercress' focaccia (although watercress turned out to... More
