Recenty sold and rebranded as part of the Bill'S chain - old building imaginatively restored, plenty of seating and eating areas, and an outdoor courtyard for later in the year (we hope!) Sensible prices, good friendly service. Open later than many Salisbury eateries, so allover good news!

When I was staying in Salisbury with my daughter, we had a late lunch here whilst out on a shopping spree. The food was good and the staff helpful so I was saddened to learn they have all been made redundant and another traditional pub is to be lost for ever!

Although hopes had been raised that this would re-open (it was, after all, a very good quality pub), it is now clear that it is to be a "Bill's Delicatessen and Café" from Nov. 2013. Although Bill's is good, it is no substitute for a valued public house. Bill's will be familiar to people from Brighton for its quality food... More

Ring before attending, this pub has now closed for refurbishment/ redevelopment, probably to be replaced with a place a shadow of its former self.

We visited for a meal on 15 August. Staff were very helpful and pleasant, surprisingly so as the pub is closing down for refurbishment on Saturday and they had all been made redundant. Not much point in rating the food as no doubt all will be completely different when/if the place reopens. Do hope that the refurbishment will not spoil... More

I have to take my hat off to Andy and his team for an excellent evening provided for myself and 22 work colleagues. The service was fantastic from start to finish. My colleagues and I were in ore with the establishment as it it very rare these days to find a rustic, homely, warm and welcoming restaurant with plenty of... More

Lovely place, wonderful features, good food and excellent service. We always have lunch here when shopping in Salisbury.

Ignored when walked in. Served a beer which was off, and then it was left on rather than being changed. Nice building but they need some new direction, rather than just charging prices akin to Stockholm because of their location.

Visited for lunch, was quite empty but the service was good, and the staff friendly. The meal was excellent, and we both enjoyed our separate dishes. Took about 20-30 mins for the food to arrive but was ultimately worth the wait.

This was the first place we visited on a short break to Salisbury, as it sounded very inviting and full of charm on the Visit Salisbury app. However the ambience was disappointing, the smell from the toilets was unpleasant, around 75% of the dishes we wanted to order were not available ("We have everything except Burgers, chicken, pasta, steak and...
