It's all about a different atmosphere. It's about good food. It's about good service and attention to detail. So no wonder the long-established Sous Le Nez is one of the most acclaimed restaurant and winebars in Leeds. In fact, our award winning basement bar and bistro - in a handy, city centre location - has been providing mouthwatering food to Leeds diners for over 15 years. Our wine list is as unusual as it is extensive, and our lunchtime and evening menus are creative and very popular. And our portions are huge too!

It is a beautiful high range refined restaurant. Placed in an underground local. You can delight with a tasty fish and French red wine.

Booked this as we were staying just around the corner and it was a terrific choice. The meal was, quite simply, one of the best I've ever had in the UK. Simple dishes, great sauces, perfect execution, fab service. We enjoyed the fishcake and moules to start, which were delicious. For mains, I had the lamb (melt in the mouth)... More

The food here is really very good, the bar menu is different to the restaurant menu so the children had fish and chips from the bar menu as they don't really offer anything for children (mine 4 & 6 yr) but this was amazing as I had some, deserts also excellent. There was a large group of people that had... More

I went to this restaurant for a celebratory meal with my husband, we had the pigs cheeks for starters which was so so tender and rich (glad we shared as it would probably be too rich for one). For our main we had the haddock with spinach, mash and cheese sauce which was also delicious. Great quality food and the... More

We went for my Mam's 50th Birthday. I'd called to book well in advance and managed to secure our own room. The restaurant itself is small is size but absolutely delightful! The staff are all very friendly and did well to put up with the 14 of us rowdy lot. Now the food, although stuffed you wanted more as it... More

We visited on the 3rd April with a little trepidation due to some so so reviews. Well on this day the reviews were soooo wrong. We were seated in the corner which was a perfect table for us, then the champagne started to flow. The waiting staff were warm and friendly and although the staff didn't seemed to be assigned... Don't understand why such great reviews for this place. Best thing was the nice food smell on entrance. I felt most of the food was preped and plated a while ago, looked and tasted sad. Over cooked mussels thickly coated in unnecessary cream. The wine, pinot noir was absolutely disgusting, were it not for the fact I was in a... More

This was the second time I have visited Sous le Nez restaurant in Leeds and both visits were enjoyable experiences. The first time, just before Christmas 2013, it was busy and noisy but I was still welcome and seated (even that I did not have a reservation) and served without unreasonable delay. My second visit was mid week in late... More

Another very good meal at sous le nez in leeds. Very good rib eye steak and squid for my starter. Discovered a very good Picpoul on the wine list that went down very well with our dinner party.
