We are a small, independent, family run restaurant. Our food is home style cooking inspired by family dishes from Old Delhi. Our menu has a wide range of vegetarian dishes available. Following the addition of a new mezzanine floor we are now fully licensed. We stock many different ales from local breweries.

Great curries, but worth a visit for the kulfis alone

Visited the Corner Cafe with a group of work colleagues as it was recommended on Trip Advisor and near to where we were staying (at the Holiday Inn). Really nice selection of interesting and tasty curries that they will unusually cook to a variety of heat levels, however the big highlight was an... read more

They seem to be interested in offering friendly service to larger groups of people so I reserve the right to change my mind as other restaurants in the area are more than happy to receive my custom.

It makes me very sad to read your review. We have had many conversations with you over the last few months when you have eaten in our restaurant. You have given the staff gifts of bottles of whisky. I know you have challenges in your life but leaving a review like this is hurtful, especially when you always made a... More

We've been a fan of this curry house from the days when you brought your pint with you from The Queen Pub. More recently the pub has sadly gone but The Corner Cafe has gone from strength to strength. It now has a licence and serves a variety of bottled real ales (and you get asked if you want them... More

Thanks for a lovely review. We were also sad to see The Queens go, but having the alcohol license has enabled us to showcase our regions finest bottled beers. Thank you for your continued support! More

We were heading to a gig at the nearby Brudenell Social Club so decided to track down somewhere nearby for an early evening curry. The Corner Cafe immediately leapt out due to its close proximity to the venue and the rave reviews on this esteemed site. We booked a table for 630pm and we're glad we did as on arrival... More

We popped down to The Corner Cafe yesterday for a quick bite to eat, as we'd heard good things about the place. I can only say that this was one of the best Indian meals we've ever had ! The food was absolutely delicious and the staff were really really pleasant and enthusiastic. I would thoroughly recommend a visit to... More

Went with good set of lads as a wedding 'last supper'. Excellent selection of ales and the food was great and prepared as expected and it was funny to see the variation between hot hot and medium on the same curry. You get what you ask for said the guy with a tears streaming down his face :-) Also some... More

Possibly the best Indian restaurant I have ever had the pleasure to visit. We chose the Corner Cafe based on the reviews. Tried ringing midday Saturday and left a message on the answer machine to book a table that evening and they rang back to confirm mid afternoon. Great service, wonderful food, lovely atmosphere and reasonable prices.

Had dinner here on the back of several recommendations. The food was terrific. Friendly service with prompt serving of food. Watch out for the poppadoms though; 50p EACH is somewhat excessive

Hi Alan. Thank for you a lovely review. So glad to hear that you enjoyed your experience at The Corner Cafe. Our poppadoms are made without machinery by a womens cop-operative that runs a foundation dedicated to the improvement of the workers, and their families, lives. We do charge for our poppadoms - they are very high quality and specially... More
