Worth a visit!

We were made to feel really welcome on our visit. The staff were friendly and even though we were there until almost closing time (a Sunday), we weren't rushed at all. We called in here at the beginning of June and left a glowing review on TA. However, what a difference a month makes. Firstly, the staff did not have a clue what was happening, they were wondering around with plates of food in their hands asking people if it was what they had ordered. Secondly, there was a constant stream... More

Absolutely fantastic establishment. I have visited a couple of times now for food and it has been spot on both times. I requested an option that was not on the menu, and the chef was more than happy to cater to my fussy palate! A beautiful chicken and chorizo risotto... to die for! Lovely ambiance, fab staff (especially Jamie who... More

Having frequented this establishment regularly recently , I was extremely upset with the way I was treated on Friday evening ! My wife and I went for a nice quiet drink to be told that if we wanted to sit down for a drink we would have to go outside ! as there was no seating available because of a... More

Dear DT2121, The restaurant was completely reserved and our party reservation took up all of the bar so unfortunately on that occasion the only room for drinkers was on our terrace. 99% of the other customers who came for a drink were pleased that we were so busy and fully understood the situation. Obviously you were disappointed which is understandable... More

We like everything about the Woolpack, the menu, the drinks, etc. Except the high staff turnover. Not cheap food, but good food, for sure...

Can't comment on the food as we didn't eat, just a pit stop for a drink, staff were brilliant and even let us in early.

We gave its predecessor The Woolpack a wide berth as it was a pub first and very clicky...not inviting. Under the rebranded cork and flaw the emphasis is clearly on quality food and a new menu that works well. That said , black sheep is still there to accompany the food which is a bonus. We both had the delicious... More

Whilst staying overnight for an early flight out of Leeds Airport I was lucky enough to read a review on TripAdvisor recommending The Cork and Claw at The Woolpack. We were greeted by a warm friendly young man who couldn't have made us feel more welcome (I've had a holiday since then but think his name was Danny). The menu... More

We tried the Woolpack one Friday night at around 8pm and it was still very busy. The menu is predominantly fish based - but the burgers did look very good as they passed. Although not cheap the standard and quality of the meal was worth every penny and we will definitely be returning. There are several good pubs locally offering... More

We usually struggle to find nice places that offer a wide range of food that is suitable for vegetarians (we eat seafoods) Absolutely pleased with the menu we ordered home made chips, onion rings, lobster, fish screwers with a veggi pie, and desserts. We was not disappointed at all! All the food was well cooked and seasoned, tasty and reasonably... More
