friendly local pub, been going 20 years, good atmosphere, food good, staff friendly, good music, livey at weekends and holidays
There's always a nice atmosphere here and the food is unswervingly excellent. I would recommend it to anyone. There's good music but you can hear yourselves think. It's pretty lively most weekends.
Sat at table for steak night only to be told can't sit their ,,it's booked,, their was no reserved on the table this was at 5-30 !.no one else was eating it was empty. So we went elsewhere .
The gasgoine is a great village pub, staff are lovely, food is great! My partner and I visit this pub Often and it never disappoints us!
Very friendly staff. Impressive pub grub with beautifully cooked veg. ( not boiled to buggery). After a slight hiccup with my choice things were sorted out we were offered two free pints in compensation. I live a bit far away but will definitely go again.
We went for an early evening meal and I chose the lasagne and my friend the Hunters Chicken. My lasagne was quite nice but her chicken was burnt as was her jacket potato! Me and my partner visited Barwick-in-Elmet and decided to choose 'The Gascoigne' for feeding and watering. The staff were very polite, as were the regulars. We were made to feel at ease and comfortable in the pub (of which had lovely cosy surrounding) We had the steak meal offer (x2 steaks and a bottle of plonk) and it was great!!!... More
