Description: Situated on the rather swish York Place, close to Leeds mainline railway...
Situated on the rather swish York Place, close to Leeds mainline railway station, Miah’s Place is an Indian restaurant with a wow factor. Right from the outset you really know that you’re in for something special – the restaurant is set within one of the old red brick buildings, behind wrought iron low fencing, its subtle signage indicating that Miah’s Kitchen, a small scale chain making waves throughout Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, is perhaps a little more special than your average Indian eatery. Through the portico-ed front door you’ll enter a stylish dining room furnished in an unusual Art Deco inspired style, with ball topped lamps, sensuous lines and low slung leather seating, all in low key tones. Miah’s Kitchen offers an extensive menu of old Indian favourites, ranging from tandoori dishes to biryanis and baltis as well as a good collection of specialties created especially for the restaurant, using contemporary and traditional techniques. Surprisingly affordable, Miah’s Kitchen provides an upmarket take on Indian dining without the price tag.

great food

A lovely Indian, food is a little more upmarket from some of the others, (Posh) atmosphere is very relaxed, an intimate dining experience. Have already booked to go again.

This is a great restaurant that serves great food with great service at a great price ... just the right blend of ambiance if your a couple going out..or say a works party ... away from the noise of the main city hub but only 3-4 minutes back into it

Miah's kitchen is a Bangladeshi restaurant although much Bengali food is not available. We ordered some unusual stuff than regular tikka, balti dishes. It turns out that all those dishes made of big pieces of onions, tomato and pickled chillies. Food is not that great here. The restaurant takes personal care of customers with excellent services and attentiveness. This made us... More

Service not very good. 2 courses took 3 hours and even ordering drinks took forever.Wrong meal brought to one of the party. Had lamb tikka for starter and meat was very tough. Not the best main course I have had and upset stomach next day. Wouldn't go again sorry.

Visited here last night, very impressed with the service, very polite staff, very cool and calm ambient. Food was just delicious, I ordered a devdas for me, which apparently was one of their signature dishes, unbelievable, very impressed the only thing have say is that it's a bit expensive apart from that it's worth every thing.

Beautiful looking from the outside initially nice looking when you walk in but on closer inspection, failure to attend to finer decorative details let it down. HOWEVER! Friendly attentive staff lovely fresh flavours throughout the meal and it was available on a GROUPON deal so cost effective! Definately would go back again!

My friend and l went with a groupon voucher. We was told that we couldnt use this after 8 o'clock. The bar area was very small and as the bar person was on the phone we had to wait to be seated before we could order our wine. A waiter came and took our order for the drinks another waiter... More

Tried this restaurant one Saturday night, had heard some negative reviews but wanted to try it for myself. The food was very average, good but plenty of better alternatives available. However the service was absolutely horrendous; kept waiting for a table we had booked, then waited for orders to be taken, waited between courses and couldn't get waiters for drinks... More

We had a Groupon deal.. been a few times. Lovely food esp the Miah's special section!!! Just felt the groupon offer was value for . Would've bear enough cost the same without the voucher!. But worth it always recommend this place to anyone who wants a proper Curry with authentic flavours and twist!
