Description: Situated on the rather swish York Place, close to Leeds mainline railway...
Situated on the rather swish York Place, close to Leeds mainline railway station, Miah’s Place is an Indian restaurant with a wow factor. Right from the outset you really know that you’re in for something special – the restaurant is set within one of the old red brick buildings, behind wrought iron low fencing, its subtle signage indicating that Miah’s Kitchen, a small scale chain making waves throughout Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, is perhaps a little more special than your average Indian eatery. Through the portico-ed front door you’ll enter a stylish dining room furnished in an unusual Art Deco inspired style, with ball topped lamps, sensuous lines and low slung leather seating, all in low key tones. Miah’s Kitchen offers an extensive menu of old Indian favourites, ranging from tandoori dishes to biryanis and baltis as well as a good collection of specialties created especially for the restaurant, using contemporary and traditional techniques. Surprisingly affordable, Miah’s Kitchen provides an upmarket take on Indian dining without the price tag.

Amazing food

Never actually visited but ordered takeaway from Miah's Kitchen and it was absolutely amazing. Quick service and good value for money. The garlic tikka bhuna was to die for.

We visited here on Saturday 28th February. It was a pre-arranged booking that we made almost a week before. When we arrived we were asked to take a seat in the waiting area next to the bar. I had to hang up our own coats, these were not even taken from us upon entry. Then when I went to get... More

Went to Miahs Kitchen for the second time and it lived up to the first time we went. Well cooked authentic food. Different flavours to your normal Indian restaurants. Great customer service from friendly staff.

We went here in January 2015 to celebrate my partners birthday with a group of friends. The food was delicious, and the service was great. The table was booked for 8pm and we were not rushed to leave the table once we'd finished eating. They even got my partner a birthday cake as soon as they found out it was... More

Would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone! Absolutely stunning restaurant, the food was beautiful and the service could not be faulted, the waiters were all very friendly and helpful! Initially they forgot our popadoms and dips but then we're very apologetic and we didn't have to pay for the in the end. Went for Valentine's Day and each women received... More
