Timoney's is by now well established and has developed a devoted coterie of followers over the years. This is a cafe and small restaurant with a difference. The difference is the beguiling and enticing hostess and proprietress KAtherine who has an infectious love of good food (especially her renowned cakes) and her dedicated team who insist on freshly made wholesome... Ok so let's get some things straight. The service is utterly amazing, Catherine and family make your stay very welcoming. You ideally need to book otherwise you might be disappointed, as its a not huge. The more you go the more you'll appreciate and love the place and service and code and good... And the pancakes are to die for....... More

The pancakes are to die for. And if you want something a little different try the mushrooms on toast (onion marmalade / wensleydale). Sounds weird, tastes amazing. The staff are lovely and treat you really well. Our kids are so bought in to going that we can bribe them with a visit! (If you don't get your room tidy were... More

I booked a table for 5 for my birthday breakfast with the girls. Very friendly service and lovely window table. Lots of choice- between us we had perfectly cooked scrambled eggs, mushrooms, toasted soda bread and tasty chutney, some fluffy pancakes and great coffee. All really good value too. The cakes looked delicious...we'll have to go back for afternoon tea... More

The food was okay but nothing special! The waitresses were polite and friendly but the service was slow. My meal was nice but my husband was unhappy with his. The atmosphere was good and the restaurant was clean and welcoming. Although the overall dining experience was not terrible I won't be rushing back.

We normally drive up to Street Lane for a lunch if my wife has to 'kill some time' between visits to St James's, but thought we would try Timoney's instead. Good decision. It doesn't look much when you walk in, but the service and food are excellent. We both had BLTs and they were among the best we'd had. A... More

Timoneys offers a welcome that is second to none -it's a cosy friendly space which is comfortable for individuals alone as well as a meeting point for family and friends. Nothing cliquey - the same welcome for all. Delicious food and the best cakes anywhere! Wonderful service and a great place for those with good taste. Thank you to all... More

Slow service, cliquey. cramped and not good food nor decent coffee. It must be an area of tasteless folk.

Had a good lunch here recently, but was surprised to notice a 50p charge for soya milk! This seems exorbitant and is the only place I have encountered this.

My husband, mother in law and I have been to Timoney's several times. The staff are always friendly and exceptionally helpful and always make good recommendations. The food is incredible.....always freshly cooked and beautifully presented. You always get a friendly welcome as you walk through the door, and Katherine and her staff make you feel loved. I would definitely recommend... More
