First time we've eaten at Gaucho at a lunchtime however it's our 5th visit in total. Eerily quiet compared to an evening which isn't a bad thing really as service is even better than its usual high standards food was as good as ever and as you'd expect the steak is top notch. Wine is a stood as ever... It's... More

Went here on Friday the 19th of Dec, with friends. Could not fault it if you had a steak, as they were very good indeed. However a plate of pasta costing £20 was a bit much, especially when it was supposed to be served with a ragu. It came served with a bit of dried up Rabbit, and no sauce.... More

Having visited Gaucho in Manc last year, I took my partner to the Leeds venue for a meal and a night out. I really am a stickler for good service and a lover of well cooked food. I wasn't disappointed at all!! Service was spot on, personable, enjoyable and knowledgable (thanks Cheryl) and the food and drinks were beautiful. We... More

Special treat, daughters graduation, she chose it, not our usual type of haunt! Menu looked expensive, table choice (left to the staff) perfect, quiet corner. Waitress attentive not pushy, obviously very well trained. Selected our wine, placed our order (having had the cuts of steak on offer explained in some detail), first course arrives after a few minutes. Looked and... More

Wanted a classy but atmospheric restaurant for my boyfriends 23rd and Gaucho did not fail to impress. Very warm welcome up one arrival, seated in the bar area and given mulled wine on the house. I asked about the three rose wines on offer and the man very kindly brought all three over for me to taste. When showed to... More

You probably need to like meat, but if you do then you'll be treated to one of the best steaks you'll find this side of the Atlantic. Attentive service without going over the top, high quality fare and nice ambience - albeit a little dark if you want to read the menu. That doesn't matter too much since your waiter/waitress... Visited Thursday night, all had a great experience. We'd requested a booth and Gaucho sorted that without being reminded. The food and service were fantastic, a big thanks to our survey Sheryl who was very knowledgeable and very friendly. Superb steaks and a lovely setting for a great night. Highly recommended

Very warm welcome by attentive staff. Shown to a small booth which provided a more private dining experience. Good explanation of the various steaks. Food was well liked by all. Overall this was a perfectly decent meal however the arrival of the bill reduced the rating. Cost per head was £60 with 8 diners. Whilst everyone had a main, a... More

Visited midweek. Difficult to find as downstairs. Actually a bit dark for a business meeting. Waitress very knowledgeable on steaks, how cuts are prepared and served, and the nuances of grapes used in Argentinian wines. We were asked if we would like to see the board - thought she meant specials; but she returned with lots of steaks and explained... More

Okay, you need to love meat. Not cheap, novel setting – hostess to seat you, very competent waitress (only flaw in her service was when she tried to push us down in wines clearly she knew and had a few gaps on others on the menu). I had a corker of a meal, steak tartare (which was as good as... More
