Booked a Friday afternoon lunch here with some friends. Initially thought we'd walked in the staff entrance, found the bar and ordered a "cocktail." There was more crushed ice than anything I should have ordered water! Taken to our table where the arrogant and sarcastic waiter explained (conned) some of my friends to have the Lamb Ragu; it had (allegedly)... More

Visited on a Sunday tea time. Arrived and went to bar as no one around to seat us and the bar tender said someone would be with us shortly. Had to wait another 5 minutes for someone to appear. He apologised as he hadn't been told we were waiting (yet we had a reservation). Staff explaining the specials was fab,... More

We had a lovely meal at jamies in edinburgh so were looking forward to repeating this at leeds. We were disappointed that the same restaurant chain was so different. The portion size especially zucchini fritte was embarrassingly tiny and expensive for four small pieces of zucchini. Service was excellent our waitress was very knowledgeable about dishes and specials.

The restaurant is lovely- dimly lit with vintage touches- all the different lamps were a great touch. We did have to wait a long time for our table which was the negative- but there was a great bar area with a great atmosphere, and we kept ourselves entertained with cocktails- the elderflower one is my recommendation. We were seated upstairs... More

The starter portions were very small though quite authentic. Enjoyed those but had to order extra. The main course was pretty standard Italin stuff and I think you get it better in other Italian places like Zizzi. I would say it was little bland and were missing some Italin herb flavours. The ambience is good and the service is good. Big... More

Booked a table at Jamie's Italian for Saturday lunch, 5th July. 'Nibbles' were very tasty, as were the starters; although my OH's starter looked a bit on the bland side. I decided to choose the mains from the specials board and in hindsight, now wished I'd stuck to my original idea and eaten from the carte. The slow cooked pork... More

My first impressions were good, then I saw the menu. It didn't impress me. I ordered lamb lollipops. They arrived in a round bowl and were dry with nothing to remedy that just dry mint leaves, I a bowl, vinegary onion, in a pot, chopped nuts, in a pot, chips, in a bowl, all lined up on a plank of wood....
