Nice Surprise!

This was my first visit to Leeds, and our first visit to a Jamie's Italian restaurant. We were greeted by a friendly staff member who sat us straight away in a booth next to the window. Our drinks order was taken soon after that and they arrived pretty sharpish. We had three courses in total... read more

This is ideally situated in city centre, less than 100 meters from hotel we stayed at (The Queens). The staff and food was excellent. Reasonably priced and tasted great. My wife and i both had bruschetta starters, lovely. Would highly recommend the rissioto.

Visited before the theatre on Friday about 5.30pm; mum, dad, boys ages 10 and 15. Service, atmosphere; brilliant. House wine was cold and very good, in decent glass. Beer was fine in not so decent glass and 2 cokes, fine. Now then Jamie wherever you are, the food here is not flavour licking good or rustic, homemade, loveliness, no, more... More

Been here several times, the standards of food and service are maintained at a high level, the choice of dishes always leaves me wanting to try more than one dish, and the specials board always has something worth trying. Love the surroundings, adds lots of character and there's always a nice buzz to the place. Never been disappointed with my... More

Myself and my partner ate here on Saturday t-time! the place-it looked half finished there were bits of old piping and nails hanging out of the walls..the metal seats your expected to eat on just don't warm up after 15 mins I asked to be moved to a table with more comfortable seating, which the waiter obliged too and moved... Tomato and ricotta bruschetta was amazing, ravioli nachos with a spicy sauce were the best nachos ever, unique. Crispy duck was okay but in my opinion should come with a small side or at least something moist, not that the duck was dry but you know what I mean, the chocolate fudgey brownie with ice cream was really nice but... Great service and great food - our waiter went out of his way to make sure we had a fantastic experience - finding out what the pasta was made of and making sure all of our questions were answered. Leo your a top man!

Staff here are very welcoming but the food is terrible and over priced. I have been to the Jamie's trattatoria in Richmond, London and this was so much better. Had my favourite polenta chips they were so dry we couldn't eat them! I would not recommend a visit here!!!
