Visited last Saturday for first time. Made to feel welcome. Didn't rush the service and when the food came it was fresh, hot and worth the money unlike some of the food we've had in the more popular city centre restaurants around Greek Street. Well worth a visit

We went for the first time for my son's birthday meal and we were not disappointed. What a great find! The atmosphere was relaxed and the staff were friendly with great service. The food was excellent, and the prices are much less than we have paid in similar restaurants in the heart of Leeds. It is called a "cafe" but... More

Visited on a Saturday evening with friends. The Engine House is tucked away on Foundry Square and you would be unlikely to stumble across it unless by chance , or as we did through recommendation. It is only a small place and there are no intimate booths to sit in- very open- with exposed brick walls. There is only 1... More

Lovely, homemade food. The portions are hearty and presented really nicely. The chicken and chorizo salad is particularly tasty.

We celebrated a 50th birthday here at The Engine House & a three course meal for 24 was beautifully cooked, presented & served to us all. Everything was top quality & served piping hot without delays. The staff were terrific & kept everyone's wine glass topped up & nothing was too much trouble. We highly recommend the restaurant in every... More

We go almost every week for dinner. Always delicious food with great staff in a relaxed atmosphere. Every single thing on the menu is worth a try but I can definately recommend both the pave'steak and the Engine House Burger.

Pretty much echo-ing everyone else's review... The food is good. I had a feta spring roll which was nice enough and my partner raved about her steak... Sent compliments to the chef about three times. The beef is all Yorkshire and aged, which is apparently a good thing. There isn't a whole lot of veggie choice if you're not in... More

Brilliantly tasty butternut squash and feta salad and they even boxed it up for me to take away. Slightly expensive, but saying that it was a massive portion
