Lone diner, very welcome

I was on business in Leeds and my hotel suggested this restaurant. As a lone diner, I sometimes can feel uncomfortable dinning alone. Not at Viva, I walked in approx 7.45 pm, to a very welcome friendly smiling face. I didn't have a reservation, I was quickly shown to a table that I felt very... read more

We visited Viva last month for a friends birthday on a Saturday evening, we booked a table for 8.30pm and there was 8 of us for dinner. We arrived at 8.30 and were told our table wasn’t ready, we were offered no explanation or apology as to why this was and the manager seemed to disappear into the kitchen. My... More

We have been coming to this little gem for over 14 years now and it was were I had my first date with my partner, who is now my wife - as of last week - 24th January 2015. We decided to have our reception do at the restaurant, as there was about 17 of us, which was a cosy... More

I have to fess up from the start .. We'd decided on sharing a pizza beforehand and were actually on our way to Bella Italia up the road. Hail Mary x3. The lunchtime offer £8 for pizza or a pasta dish tempted us into Viva. It was fairly quiet but I've had some lovely meals there previously but not recently.... More

Very welcoming, even though we had no reservation, excellent food and baileys coffee!!! friendly service, wonderful host. A place to visit if you are in leeds and you want a change from the usual "chain" restaurants, give it a try, you won't regret it.

Booked a table for 8.30 at viva last night. On arrival we were greeted warmly and offered a drink at the bar as our table wasn't quite ready. (Very busy for a Wednesday night!) A choice of Moretti or Peroni for beer so we took one of each. Atmosphere is very warm and friendly, great for families as well as... More

We three ladies traveled to meet in up Leeds for long lunch and a catch up. We booked Viva because we have eaten there before and had enjoyed it. We received a very warm welcome on arrival and given the choice of tables. For starters we order tomato soup and garlic bread - both delicious and for mains two of... More
