Really nice italian restaurant

I was in Leeds on business and had dinner here on Monday night, really good food and pleasant helpful and efficent service at a reasonable price - made a very pleasant change from eating in one of the " chain" restaurants in Leeds.

Once you get over the cheesy decor and plastic covered menu you have a nice Italian restaurant. Very old school which I liked. Food was good and great sized portions. Service was also good. Not sure I'd hurry back or scream from the rooftops to ally friends about the place but I'd certainly return for midweek meal.

This is a lovely restaurant which never lets us down, the food is very, very good always fresh produce used as I've seen the owner shopping in the local markets! The atmosphere is excellent and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We have in the past taken children in to eat and they have always been welcomed. The early... More

Went here for dinner whilst on business. Eating alone can be daunting, but the staff were so friendly and welcoming this was not an issue. The food had lovely flavours and was a reasonable price. Can be difficult for a small restaurant to compete against a large chain, and with Bella Italia just down the road, there was no competition... More

Came here for a graduation meal after spending 3 years studying in Leeds. By far my favourite Italian in the city with excellent food and friendly service. The staff are very accommodating and we've been treated extremely well on each of our (many) visits.

Perfect evening! When we entered the restaurant we were greeted at the door by the manger, as was everyone else that entered the premises. This outstanding service with a great personal touch continued throughout the evening. After dinner the boss even sat down at our table to explain to my mother how the pasta was made; you wouldn't see this... More

This was my first visit to Viva with a group of work colleagues. We visited on a Monday evening to take advantage of the Early Bird Menu priced at £15.95. This is a very good restaurant with attentive staff, very good tasty food and a decor which exudes friendliness, but also efficiency. We were warmly greeted by the owner and... More

Myself and my partner have been to Viva numerous times and the food is always outstanding! The small restaurant is ran by Italians so is very authentic - the tomato bread and due salmone pasta being my favourites! If you're ever in Leeds and are in the mood for authentic Italian food, Viva won't disappoint!

Arriving without a reservation the owner was able to accommodate and when the table wasn't vacated when expected provided complimentary garlic breads. Food and service was all very good and pricing was sensible. Highly recommend the house red wine.

The charming owner of this place comes to the door to greet every customer. Food served is really good. Early bird menu available before 7PM providing great value for money. Downstairs a huge table for bigger groups.
