Pleasantly Surprised - Good rather than average.

We reluctantly visited at the weekend due to it being someone else's choice. After hearing bad reports and reading the reviews on here we were not expecting much of anything. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The service was ok - I would have thought the managers would take note of the reviews on here and greatly improve it, but our... More

I attended here on the way to Leeds Bradford Airport. I was expecting to enjoy an acceptable carvery to sustain me until I arrived at my destination abroad. Firstly the one positive, the staff were extremely pleasant and made me feel welcome. Having paid for my carvery and ordered a coffee, I sat down at a table which to say... More

Went at 1930'on a Saturday and already had ran out of turkey for the carvery. Beef was ok though. Chips for main meal were poor and the chicken burger was dry. Rest of food was just acceptable

Went here for a breakfast, the hash browns were cold and overcooked, the other food wasn't warm apart from the tomatoes.. Staff were nice and polite however the cold food just can't be overlooked.

My wife and myself were taken here by my son, his wife and their 4 month old baby. We were visiting them in the Leeds area. We were impressed by the adequate parking, even at a busy time. The staff were friendly and efficient, finding us a table quickly. My daughter in law found the baby changing facilities excellent. There... More

Went to celebrate my brothers 30th Birthday with family and close friends. there was 14 of us in total. 7 of us wanted a menu choice rather than the carvery. Waitress was a bit vague when taking orders and as such 6 meals when they arrived had to go back. Lasagne was only like warm, surf and turf came without... More

We went here for Mother's Day (Sunday) as the carvery is usually great. We were shown into the back room and served a first round of drinks and then pretty much ignored for the rest of the evening. Having sat staring at our empty plates and glasses for so long (and indeed the dirty tables of un-cleared debris all around... More

Looking for somewhere to have lunch and not knowing the area too well, we called here as it was conveniently situated off a roundabout and there seemed to be plenty of parking. We were greeted by a friendly person who gave us the option of various tables and presented with a menu and took our drinks order, which arrived with... More

Travelled up from the Midlands to have a 'special' meal with family that my sister had booked ! Sign on the door told us that there was ONLY the carvery available? We were given a sheet for the children to colour but no crayons. When we asked a handful of broken crayons arrived but they hadn't bothered to realise they... More
