The restaurant opened in 2008 and since has built a reputation for good quality service and food - and with its comfortable, contemporary interior, superb food and extensive affordable wine list, has rapidly become one of the most popular destination restaurants in the city for both lunch and dinner.Situated at West Point on Wellington Street, this Italian ristorante has a highly experienced team ready to create delicious authentic Italian dishes using fresh local produce and imported Italian specialities - all served with a delightful mix of Mediterranean panache and Yorkshire warmth and value. They show passion for customer service and when asked what makes Primo different - The answer is simple: Italian staff, quality of customer service, great menu created from typical Italian dishes using only fresh - not frozen - ingredients and nevertheless, the value for money compared to quality of food and wine.

attractive and modern decor

We had our evening meal in this Italian restaurant. It has attractive, modern decor and very good food. Service was good. The price was fair but not cheap. Just under 50 pounds for 2 main courses, 2 desserts and a small glass of wine each. My husband noticed that some diners received a... read more

Staying at the Novotel Leeds city centre and Primo's is just opposite so wandered over for an early bird meal. First into the restaurant but the welcome was very warm and attentive. Early bired din't appeal but so chose from the main menu Funghi Ripieni followed by the Strozzapreti alla veneta both were absolutely first class, all washed down with... More

Went here for a work's night out. Pre-ordered for a party of 13, having arranged in advance following email correspondence. The restaurant was quick to respond and were very helpful. The food was good, all in the party were happy, service was also good. All in all, it was an enjoyable experience, and I'd like to come back as a... More

We were recommended this restaurant and decided to go as it is straight across from the novotel. We read the menu outside and it sounded good. When we went inside we were greeted warmly by the waitress who showed us to our table and told us about the coat hooks behind. We shared the pate started which we ate with... More

Attended with my wife for lunch at 2pm. the place was open not many people. I ordered from the Express Lunch menu, my wife ordered from the a la carte menu. The soup had no taste, and the risotto was pretty awful . My wife's food was immersed in sauce with very little ravioli.i Taste pretty average. Staff very polite

This is in the centre of Leeds and there was hardly anybody in - this alone is a sign something isn't right! I ordered a glass of red wine to accompany my meal and I saw a waitress pour red wine from one glass into the glass she served me!! Waste not, want not?! I do not expect leftovers when... More

Have been a regular at Primo since it first opened, after my last visit unlikely I will go again, service really poor, not offered desert menu or coffee. Staff didn't seem to care. Shame as the food is really good.

We visited the restraunt for an uncles 70th birthday on Sunday lunchtime. We were a party of 12 adults and 2 children (aged 2 & 4). There was a good choice of drinks and the garlic bread and olives before we ordered our food were very welcome. The menu had a good choice of dishes and there was something for... More

Went to Primo's for lunch today with some friends from work. Food was excellent, really interesting Italian cuisine well cooked and presented. Great value as well (2 courses and a drink for £10.95) Staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. I'd recommend it to anyone!!!

Family of 4 (2+2) very nice staff and the whole place had a really nice atmosphere. Service was good and the food was fantastic. Only small warning if going ........ I had a dish that wasn't pizza or pasta and although very tasty the portion was a little on the small side. The pizza and pasta dishes we ordered were... More
