excellent!

All thinge considered, good quality, delicious food....and to be honest, great value too. Very attentive staff, good music, ambient lighting, and generally, lovely surroundings. French soup was to die for and both the lamb pie dish and the boeuf bourguignon were amazing. Highly recommended!

This place is great. My favourite French restaurant in Leeds closed (le grillarde) so tried this place. It's as good as.

We ate here a couple of weeks ago on a Saturday evening and had a brilliant meal. We went for the early bird menu which was fantastic value - we had three courses each, a bottle of wine all for £60 including a tip. You would struggle to find food as good for that price! For starters we had the... More

If you could bottle the atmosphere at Kendells and sell it, you'd make a fortune. Restaurateurs across the land would queue up to buy some. Tim Bilton of the Spiced Pear would order a bucket load. Of course that might create some unwanted competition but the brilliance of the food and service would have to be matched as well and... More

Wonderfully atmospheric French bistro near the West Yorkshire Playhouse (and not too far to walk to The Grand). Good value pre-theatre menu and they take note of when you need to be finished in time for the show.

Wow thank you guys at kendells. The service was amazing and we felt so special on our anniversary. We are both vegetarians and the menu is limited goats cheese and Brie but this didn't matter the food was stunning and 3 courses for £27 and a half a bottle of wine is amazing value. Will be dining again when the... More

I can't remember if this is our sixth, or maybe seventh visit to Kendells. The first five were amazing, and it quickly became our favourite restaurant in Leeds. However, our most previous visit was so average, we didn't fancy returning again quite so quickly. But, we figured after 8 or so months, we'd give it another go. And we pretty... More

We had a family meal at kendells last week. We decided to go for the early bird menu having 2 or 3 courses. I had the brie and beetroot to start and duck for main-absolutely outstanding! Couldn't fault anyhow the food and everyone else agreed! Only thing I would say was we found it hard work to book, difficult to get... More

From the outside it's impossible to imagine how atmospheric and theatrical this gem of a bistro is. The moment you step inside the restaurant the staff are professional, friendly and attentive and you are instantly enveloped in the great Kendell's experience. Last night as usual, the food was outstanding; delicious fish soup (even served with a clove of garlic to... More

I visited Kendells Bistro for the first time this week and I loved everything about it and will definitely be re-visiting. The staff were great; the lay out of the restaurant is quirky and lovely and then there is the spectacular food! We went for the £19.95 3 course early bird menu and added 2 half carafes of wine, to... More
