The crux of a good fish and chips restaurant revolves around the basic principle of good value for money . We shared a huge plate of fish and chips , a portion of curry sauce (1.55) and mushy peas ( 1.55) , tea for two and tartare sauce . The bill came up to 19 pounds ! Which is ok... read more

Conveniently located on a main street in the middle of a well established suburban part of Leeds, this takeaway fish and chip shop and its associated fish and chip restaurant have plenty of parking and ramped access for wheelchair users. Quality had begun to slip from its formerly very high standards but new ownership seems to have an immediate and... More

This is a quality, traditional fish and chip (and other seafood) restaurant. A fair range of fish and shellfish dishes served with golden brown real potatoes chipped in irregular shapes, firm on the outside, tender on the inside, just as it should be. The usual accompaniments: mushy peas, baked beans, coleslaw. Bread and butter. Do-it-yourself chip butties for the uninhibited.... More

We've had fish and chips from here several times but yesterday's were the worst ever. First of all, the appearance of the shop was not welcoming. The customer waiting area lights were not on so you were stood in dingy darkness, however on reflection, this was probably a good thing as the place is filthy. A 25 minute wait for... More

This has been a favourite when visiting family for many years the fish- and indeed other menu options are very good and I am a big fan of their chips. Service is also good. The mains are the best feature the desserts are not great but I rarely feel able to eat them anyway!

Marlows went through a stage of being terrible. However I feel that recently it seems to have got a little better. I recently got my lunch and although the fish could have done with a touch longer (I asked for it well done) on the whole it wasn't bad, not the best but seems to be improving.

Starting with a plus they sell pies which is a good alternative. Bought some fish and chips here recently and the batter was soggy and the chips were old. Its a bit dated in the takeaway bit.

Went with a teen with special needs the staff were great and made a real effort and accommodated our extra needs. Sorry we were a pain. The jacket potatoes were a good size, the salad was huge . The seniors and children's meals were great. All the food looked and tasted great The deserts were fab. 5 stars thank you
