"In the very heart of Leeds, Malmaison Brasserie reigns supreme as a superlative place to meet and eat. The highly chic brasserie has sleek stylish decor, with soaring vaulted ceiling, an open through fireplace and cosy booths. The staff are passionate about food, wine and service, and the dining room is lit with that brasserie buzz. Malmaison Executive Chef Keith shearer has overall direction, which Head Chef Peter Conlin carries out beautifully. What's cooking? Inspiration is taken from great 'French brasserie-style dishes' and further enhanced with a unique contemporary twist. "

First visit good food

I was with a party that recently visited the brasserie. We opted for the special offer of 3 courses for £24.95 which included 1 "side " i would say if it hadn't been on offer it would have proved a little expensive but probably par for the course for a city centre location. I had the mushrooms to... read more

As we were staying here we also ate in the restaurant. We ate early evening, and although the bar area was busy we were well looked after. I had steak and chips and my partner had a rissotto, both were excellent, and veg was perfectly cooked too. Dessert was Lemon sponge with blueberries and was just the right size after... More

Champagne afternoon for 4 - extremely disappointed. Booked as a birthday treat as I love afternoon and this is the worst afternoon tea I have had. It is served in the brasserie and therefore served on tables with no linen so no different from walking in and ordering a drink. Each person was given a stand with a complete 'afternoon... More

I've visited Leeds Malmaison twice now for the Sunday 3 course meal. My partner who is one of the fussiest people to please when it comes to food loved it! The starters were buffet style with 2 soups to choose from, prawns, salmon, crab, salad, home made potatoes, home made coleslaw, gorgeous mini quiches, to name a few! You could... More

A friend had come to visit us for the weekend, coming across the deal in association with Hi-Fi we thought we'd come up a winner, Dinner at a bespoke hotel and comedy in the city centre for £25 each, surely a saving and good time to be had. Malmaison is a lovely looking hotel, the restaurant has a lovely ambiance... More

There is a huge choice on the "chefs table" which includes prawns, smoked salmon, poached salmon, scotch eggs, numerous salads, breads, pastries, pate etc. you are invited to visit this as many times as you wish. We choice to do so only once as wAnted to... More

I went here for a romantic lunch with the missus and the food was delicious the decor and ambiance was great and so was the service the waiters could not do enough for you. The only let down is the price of the drinks but with the food been so good that can be forgiven. Would definitely go back

I just adore Malmaison hotels and use any excuse to book an overnight stay. This particular night was for Valentine's Day. The hotel did have a special Valentine's weekend menu however, none of which especially stood out so we decided to stick to our favourite.........steak! The Mal steak is just unreal and amazing and has yet to disappoint (and we've... More
