Description: "In the very heart of Leeds, Malmaison Brasserie reigns supreme as a superlative place to meet and eat. The highly chic brasserie has sleek stylish decor, with soaring vaulted ceiling, an open through fireplace and cosy booths. The staff are passionate about food, wine and service, and the dining room is lit with that brasserie buzz. Malmaison Executive Chef Keith shearer has overall direction, which Head Chef Peter Conlin carries out beautifully. What's cooking? Inspiration is taken from great 'French brasserie-style dishes' and further enhanced with a unique contemporary twist. "

We were spoiled for choice on the menu , chose what we wanted , it was served by a lovely young lady sorry didn't take her name, we were'nt rushed and we felt well looked after and we have a fabulous night for a special occasion , prob spent more than we would usually , but felt it was justified... The dining room is a bit disappointing. Tired furniture in a not well furnished room. Its all a bit old and a refurb is needed. The menu is pretty simple with bog standard fare but at very good restaurant prices. Caprese salad to start. Poor quality tomatoes which had little taste and low quality Buffalo Mozzarella. All a bit tasteless.... More

We have just had a few days stay for my birthday. It's a class above the rest. The staff were really friendly and helpful, we had breakfasts, an evening meal and an afternoon tea which was all lovely. We wouldn't hesitate in staying there again.

We ate in the Brasserie firstly a bar snack on Christmas Eve afternoon. My daughter ordered a club sandwich and fries , myself a salmon bagel. Both were well presented with fresh ingredients. Christmas Eve (we were staying at the Mal over Christmas) we had the 3 course meal in the Brasserie. The service was excellent, with a variety of... More

We went for Sunday lunch and wow...it was lovely. The 'starter' was a chefs table with breads, cheeses, soup, pates and lots more. To be honest a good couple of plates of this and we would have been happy. Then we had the main course. i had a beef roast dinner. Melt in the mouth beef with all the trimmings.... More

Just had our work Christmas lunch there which was very tasty. I had chorizo & squid to start which was very yummy, i could've eaten another bowl. I had balotine of Turkey for main which was good, especially the roast potatoes and the gravy, plenty of both. The dessert was the best bit, ice cream, white choc mousse, marshmallows and... More

I went here for my Works Christmas do - There was well over 20 of us and had all paid £30 a head. The food took ages between each course. The Starter soup was flavourless. The main started of Lamb was COLD! and by that time, I didnt even eat my dessert. The staff were few and far between and... More

Visited for drinks on Saturday - was quite busy with Christmas party people - this seemed to greatly affect the bar service which was slow - a liqueur coffee arrived warm - not hot - and this was only after being chased. Disappointed as previously have always enjoyed this location
