Description: "In the very heart of Leeds, Malmaison Brasserie reigns supreme as a superlative place to meet and eat. The highly chic brasserie has sleek stylish decor, with soaring vaulted ceiling, an open through fireplace and cosy booths. The staff are passionate about food, wine and service, and the dining room is lit with that brasserie buzz. Malmaison Executive Chef Keith shearer has overall direction, which Head Chef Peter Conlin carries out beautifully. What's cooking? Inspiration is taken from great 'French brasserie-style dishes' and further enhanced with a unique contemporary twist. "

We ate in the Brasserie firstly a bar snack on Christmas Eve afternoon. My daughter ordered a club sandwich and fries , myself a salmon bagel. Both were well presented with fresh ingredients. Christmas Eve (we were staying at the Mal over Christmas) we had the 3 course meal in the Brasserie. The service was excellent, with a variety of... More

We went for Sunday lunch and wow...it was lovely. The 'starter' was a chefs table with breads, cheeses, soup, pates and lots more. To be honest a good couple of plates of this and we would have been happy. Then we had the main course. i had a beef roast dinner. Melt in the mouth beef with all the trimmings.... More

Just had our work Christmas lunch there which was very tasty. I had chorizo & squid to start which was very yummy, i could've eaten another bowl. I had balotine of Turkey for main which was good, especially the roast potatoes and the gravy, plenty of both. The dessert was the best bit, ice cream, white choc mousse, marshmallows and... More

I went here for my Works Christmas do - There was well over 20 of us and had all paid £30 a head. The food took ages between each course. The Starter soup was flavourless. The main started of Lamb was COLD! and by that time, I didnt even eat my dessert. The staff were few and far between and... More

Visited for drinks on Saturday - was quite busy with Christmas party people - this seemed to greatly affect the bar service which was slow - a liqueur coffee arrived warm - not hot - and this was only after being chased. Disappointed as previously have always enjoyed this location

My husband and I had lunch from the Celebrations Menu which was three courses. The chicken liver parfait, seared beef fillet were our starters and they were small but of excellent quality. I had the lamb for main and my husband had a turkey dinner. There was just the right amount of food. The puddings we chose were cheese and... More

Just returned from an excellent Sunday Lunch which we bought with a Groupon deal. Everything from the soup and fresh bread to the dessert was well prepared and tasty. The waiting staff were brilliant polite and efficient. Would deffinately look to return. The only down side was that the drinks were a bit expensive 6.05 for a standard bottle of... More

Although we visited malmaison with a groupon this was certainly a top quality meal. We are not big eaters and prefer quality to quantity, but here you could have both if you chose to. We visited for Sunday luch and I would defiantly recommend it. I hope they do another groupon, but I would happily pay the normal price

Very helpful staff when selecting from the menu, sympathetic towards me being a vegetarian. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meal, bread with oil/vinegar/hummus followed by a pan pasta for me and a burger for my hubby. Desserts were lovely, service attentive, atmosphere got better as it got later in the evening. Second time going there this year, will be going... More
