"In the very heart of Leeds, Malmaison Brasserie reigns supreme as a superlative place to meet and eat. The highly chic brasserie has sleek stylish decor, with soaring vaulted ceiling, an open through fireplace and cosy booths. The staff are passionate about food, wine and service, and the dining room is lit with that brasserie buzz. Malmaison Executive Chef Keith shearer has overall direction, which Head Chef Peter Conlin carries out beautifully. What's cooking? Inspiration is taken from great 'French brasserie-style dishes' and further enhanced with a unique contemporary twist. "

My husband and I decided to treat ourselves and have dinner and the Malmaison brasserie in Leeds. Our initial thoughts as we walked into the brasserie was that it was a lovely and romantic restaurant. The dark wood furniture gave a sophisticated and cosy feel to the restaurant. My husband and I were seated and the food menu was extensive... More

15 of us visited the Malmaison Brasserie for the first evening of a hen weekend in Leeds. Now don't get me wrong, there was nothing particularly wrong with our experience, we had just expected more seeing as it was Malmaison... Negatives, so I can end on some positives - The food was just rather bland and dull. We had ordered... More

Our friends and I had booked a deal through a local comedy club that also included 2 courses at Malmaisson Brasserie. The confirmation email included a menu and stated "please find attached all relevant info for you to peruse." As it had to be paid for in advance, I shared the menu with all, one couple travelling from Scotland and... More

I had chicken liver pate and Le Burger, so not the most adventurous, but it was lovely and the service was 5 star.

I had high expectations of the Malmaison Sunday lunch, with the hotel's own website proclaiming it's the best in town. The service and the menu lived up to expectations, with lovely staff and a great choice of main courses. The starters, selected from a buffet, were indeed excellent, with the poached smoked salmon being absolutely delicious. The roast beef itself,... More

Not much that I liked! The food was ok, the service was also ok, sort of. I had to wait ages to be served, even though I was waiting at the bar and there were 2 or 3 prople behind the bar who didn't seem to be especially busy.

I was with a party that recently visited the brasserie. We opted for the special offer of 3 courses for £24.95 which included 1 "side " i would say if it hadn't been on offer it would have proved a little expensive but probably par for the course for a city centre location. I had the mushrooms to start which... More

As we were staying here we also ate in the restaurant. We ate early evening, and although the bar area was busy we were well looked after. I had steak and chips and my partner had a rissotto, both were excellent, and veg was perfectly cooked too. Dessert was Lemon sponge with blueberries and was just the right size after... More

Champagne afternoon for 4 - extremely disappointed. Booked as a birthday treat as I love afternoon and this is the worst afternoon tea I have had. It is served in the brasserie and therefore served on tables with no linen so no different from walking in and ordering a drink. Each person was given a stand with a complete 'afternoon... More
