"In the very heart of Leeds, Malmaison Brasserie reigns supreme as a superlative place to meet and eat. The highly chic brasserie has sleek stylish decor, with soaring vaulted ceiling, an open through fireplace and cosy booths. The staff are passionate about food, wine and service, and the dining room is lit with that brasserie buzz. Malmaison Executive Chef Keith shearer has overall direction, which Head Chef Peter Conlin carries out beautifully. What's cooking? Inspiration is taken from great 'French brasserie-style dishes' and further enhanced with a unique contemporary twist. "

Great service, average food

I visited Malmaison for a post graduation meal with my family. The staff were polite and provided very good service. Perhaps our expectations of the food were too high, but it was more what you would find in a good pub. I had a burger, and was asked how I wanted it to be cooked, but it did come... read more

The breakfast at this hotel is the best breakfast anywhere I have ever stayed. The decor is lovely, the staff attentive and hard working. You get just what you need as soon as you sit down, any type of coffee or tea. An amazing continental breakfast choice, the best range and quality and display I have ever seen anywhere, ever... Firstly let me state I'm a travel agent and so TripAdvisor and silly bad reviews make my life difficult and this is why at the age of 34 this is the first negative review I've posted on this forum. We came for Sunday lunch and whilst the majority of food was excellent the service and some of the food was... More

I attended the brasserie after my graduation with my family for a celebratory meal. We chose to come here as we had celebrated my acceptance to medical school here five years previous, and had an incredible time. Five years ago the restaurant was packed, even on a week day, the place was buzzing, the food was different, exciting and delicious... More

We were staying at the hotel and noticed they had a special deal on for chateaubriand and a bottle of Malbec, these just happen to be two of our favourite things to eat and drink. The food was excellent and the wine very nice as well. The service was also very good, Jess was serving us and she was great.... More

Booked a table and looked at menu on website to decide what I was eating before I got there. Mene presented at table was exactly the same but £5 more and service charge was 15% not 10% as stated on website . Naughty

The brasserie is very nice and clean however the menu is very limited and certainly not for anyone looking for normal food or for children. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the burger I had was very nice although I would have had a Burger King for lots less and been just as happy. I am so disappointed... More
