"In the very heart of Leeds, Malmaison Brasserie reigns supreme as a superlative place to meet and eat. The highly chic brasserie has sleek stylish decor, with soaring vaulted ceiling, an open through fireplace and cosy booths. The staff are passionate about food, wine and service, and the dining room is lit with that brasserie buzz. Malmaison Executive Chef Keith shearer has overall direction, which Head Chef Peter Conlin carries out beautifully. What's cooking? Inspiration is taken from great 'French brasserie-style dishes' and further enhanced with a unique contemporary twist. "

Lovely Service but Expensive

Visiting for dinner and cocktails with a friend. The Brasserie is okay; quite dark and dim inside but relatively stylish. Staff were lovely, approachable and attentive. The main reason I've rated this as average was that our bill was really surprisingly high for what we got. I know with all... read more

We booked for dinner for one evening we stayed in a nearby hotel, the food was well prepared and presented, we thought it was good value for money and would recommend.

Staying nearby with my father and booked an evening meal here. Had the shrimp lettuce tacos followed by prime aged black Angus NY strip steaks then cheese. Excellent food, good service and a good wine list. Finished off with a Hine Antique cognac so a very good evening. 89% putting it at equal 4th with the Hinds Head among others.... More

Couple ale options and local beer as well. Shrimp linguini and Indian chicken was delicious. Really polite staff, in an elegant English bar. Cozy for friends, business and dating.

I have to say that eating in the brasserie at Malmaison was the worse meal I have ever had. It was such a shame as it was my friends birthday and it was spoilt by the food. The staff were accommodating and gave us breakfast as compensation but it really spoilt our night. This was not what I expected. I... More

Often meet at the bar area for meetings and have had lunch a few times. Food is always good but have to say, fairly pricey on the whole!

We are here on a hotel offer so received an allowance towards meal. My husband had mussels to start that were excellent, I had parfait but honestly it was bland & not very nice. Main meal was steak & lobster for hubby & classic steak for me. Steak was a little overlooked but very tasty & came with a little... More

My husband and I decided to treat ourselves and have dinner and the Malmaison brasserie in Leeds. Our initial thoughts as we walked into the brasserie was that it was a lovely and romantic restaurant. The dark wood furniture gave a sophisticated and cosy feel to the restaurant. My husband and I were seated and the food menu was extensive... More

15 of us visited the Malmaison Brasserie for the first evening of a hen weekend in Leeds. Now don't get me wrong, there was nothing particularly wrong with our experience, we had just expected more seeing as it was Malmaison... Negatives, so I can end on some positives - The food was just rather bland and dull. We had ordered... More

Our friends and I had booked a deal through a local comedy club that also included 2 courses at Malmaisson Brasserie. The confirmation email included a menu and stated "please find attached all relevant info for you to peruse." As it had to be paid for in advance, I shared the menu with all, one couple travelling from Scotland and... More
