"In the very heart of Leeds, Malmaison Brasserie reigns supreme as a superlative place to meet and eat. The highly chic brasserie has sleek stylish decor, with soaring vaulted ceiling, an open through fireplace and cosy booths. The staff are passionate about food, wine and service, and the dining room is lit with that brasserie buzz. Malmaison Executive Chef Keith shearer has overall direction, which Head Chef Peter Conlin carries out beautifully. What's cooking? Inspiration is taken from great 'French brasserie-style dishes' and further enhanced with a unique contemporary twist. "

We were staying at the hotel and noticed they had a special deal on for chateaubriand and a bottle of Malbec, these just happen to be two of our favourite things to eat and drink. The food was excellent and the wine very nice as well. The service was also very good, Jess was serving us and she was great.... More

Booked a table and looked at menu on website to decide what I was eating before I got there. Mene presented at table was exactly the same but £5 more and service charge was 15% not 10% as stated on website . Naughty

The brasserie is very nice and clean however the menu is very limited and certainly not for anyone looking for normal food or for children. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the burger I had was very nice although I would have had a Burger King for lots less and been just as happy. I am so disappointed... More

French inspired restaurant with Fabulous food. Well worth the visit when down on the waterfront in the suburb of Leith. Highly recommended. We had the tomato & cheese salad, Pork chop with leek and mustard cream and eaton mess. Went as a group.

Visiting for dinner and cocktails with a friend. The Brasserie is okay; quite dark and dim inside but relatively stylish. Staff were lovely, approachable and attentive. The main reason I've rated this as average was that our bill was really surprisingly high for what we got. I know with all hotels you expect to pay a premium for food and... More

We booked for dinner for one evening we stayed in a nearby hotel, the food was well prepared and presented, we thought it was good value for money and would recommend.

Staying nearby with my father and booked an evening meal here. Had the shrimp lettuce tacos followed by prime aged black Angus NY strip steaks then cheese. Excellent food, good service and a good wine list. Finished off with a Hine Antique cognac so a very good evening. 89% putting it at equal 4th with the Hinds Head among others.... More
