Description: Recently refurbished to create Chez Mal, the heart and soul of every...
Recently refurbished to create Chez Mal, the heart and soul of every Malmaison hotel, where iconic dishes are prepared with a modern twist and served with passion and personality, including sublime steaks, the awesome MalBurger and a mouthwatering wine list. Nothing beats honest northern food, and it doesn't get any better than at Chez Mal Brasserie. With elegant ceilings, plush leather seating and contempary lighting. The Chez Mal Brasserie in Leeds has got style to spare, and all of the classic British dishes with a twist that you could ever ask for. Sure, Yorkshire pudding will be here, sharing a plate with locally-produced beef. But our dedicated chefs do french cuisine too, not to mention our ever-popular Mal Burger. And of course, when you want fine wines to match every course, our super sommelier offers vintages, aperitifs and digestifs to die for. No other restaurant in Leeds comes close.

I really enjoyed the food here and the service was excellent. However, I did find the décor very dark and depressing. The restaurant was very busy for a Tuesday evening so booking is probably required.

We visited here for Sunday lunch using a voucher bought us for Xmas by our daughter and partner. The brasserie has a lovely ambience and is very popular. The staff were lovely, our waiter Ash had impeccable manners and was very friendly. The menu was a good Sunday lunch menu with roasts on offer. Starters were on offer as a... More

Malmaison really do need to examine their standards within some of their restaurants,Leeds being one of them. We were blown away recently by our dining experience in the London branch of Chez Mal and were savouring a similar experience here but the result was like night and day, Service was painfully slow, although front of house appeared to be well staffed.... Visited a couple of weekends ago for Sunday lunch. Dropped in without a booking and managed to get a table (I would recommend booking). The waitress we initially had was a little surly but then a lovely young lady took over and was very attentive. The food was stunning ..... With roast beef that melted in the mouth and enough... This was a first visit for us to this restaurant and you might think we were mad to risk the once a year New Years night on an un tested restaurant, but we were not disappointed in any way. It was a five course meal with coffee and petit fours and from start to finish every meal was cooked to perfection... More

We've been a few times for Sunday lunch...great food, lovely atmosphere and the staff are very helpful. It's reasonably priced for three courses. Reeve and Jess took good care of us too! Would definitely recommend.

We decided to treat ourselves to a nice meal in a restaurant and chose the Brasserie. I'd dined here before with some friends a couple of years ago and was impressed.
