Went to The Bon for sunday lunch. Having never been before was unsure what to expect, not the usual place I would visit for lunch. Very easy to find, near main cross roads in Sherburn. There didn't seem to be a car park for the restaurant but plenty of parking nearby. Lovely place, very clean. The staff were great, love... More

I haven't been here since 2008 but what a difference the decor was lovely the downstairs space had been extended , the staff was friendly and welcoming , the food was as expected fresh, well presented and cooked to perfection, I would highly recommend and will be back

Went on Friday for a drink after work with my husband. We have eaten here before, which was fabulous, so decided to go to the 5 o'clock club. Had 2 bottles of wine between us which were great value with the ealy evening offer. There service was excellent, as it has been previously, nothing is too much trouble for the... More

This was our first time eating here and what a pleasure it was! The staff are all pleasant and friendly, the down stairs bar area is warm and welcoming and the upstairs restaurant is warm and quite intimate. The food is first class, once you have decided what to pick from the very well thought out menu. Highly recommended! A... More

Went here with 10 colleagues and had a great meal. The food was incredibly tasty, well served in a comfortable environment. I had the Pork which now goes on one of my top five meals ever ! Good value too, though not cheap

When we arrived we were told that our booking (via the website) hadn't been logged so there wasn't a table for us. It was only when we showed our confirmation that 'Pam' said she'd 'sort something out for us' Our booking had been made for 2pm but we weren't shown to our table until 3pm. No apology and no offer... Came here for dinner on Saturday night and what a fantastic experience. The service from the young waitress was exemplary . The restaurant was well appointed and welcoming . The haddock fishcake starters were delicious and the fillet steaks were cooked perfectly . This was our first visit to the The Bon and it won't be our last .
