I went to The Bon with my family to celebrate my 65th Birthday and just like the last time when we went last year we were not disappointed. From the minute you make the booking until the minute you leave after the meal nothing is too much trouble. I went with my wife, son and daughter and their two partners... More

Having used to living in Sherburn over 20 years ago I remember this place and its reputation then. The name may have had a small change but its reputation and my new experience hasn't a lovely modern interior with just amazing food (and as a head chef myself I recognise good food when I get time as a customer to... We ended up eating here by chance on a Friday night on our way to York. The manager found us a table even though they were clearly busy and we had no reservation. We ordered 4 different mains, desserts and a bottle of red and it was all divine. The lamb in particular was a stand out. Service was a... More

this used to be the top Yorkshire restaurant, not any more i am afraid, its gone down significantly, unlike the prices, £28 for a bottle of red wine that can be purchased from tesco over the road for a fiver?? frozen pre prepared veg?? top money?? not for me again i am afraid

Went to The Bon for sunday lunch. Having never been before was unsure what to expect, not the usual place I would visit for lunch. Very easy to find, near main cross roads in Sherburn. There didn't seem to be a car park for the restaurant but plenty of parking nearby. Lovely place, very clean. The staff were great, love... More

Went on Friday for a drink after work with my husband. We have eaten here before, which was fabulous, so decided to go to the 5 o'clock club. Had 2 bottles of wine between us which were great value with the ealy evening offer. There service was excellent, as it has been previously, nothing is too much trouble for the... More

This was our first time eating here and what a pleasure it was! The staff are all pleasant and friendly, the down stairs bar area is warm and welcoming and the upstairs restaurant is warm and quite intimate. The food is first class, once you have decided what to pick from the very well thought out menu. Highly recommended! A... More
