Excellent place for a special occasion

We had not been to Bon Viveur for years so I booked to go back with my parents and we had a lovely time. Very good service from the 2 girls who were there and they were extremely accommodating. They were flexible with the vegetarian options which was a big help. Excellent tasting food which was... read more

We live around the corner from The Bon and have been about 5-6 times now in the past 2 years. Each time hoping it would be better than the last. The reviews seem to be rather good on here, but honestly? It is so overpriced and over hyped for what it is. The atmosphere isn't great each time we've been... More

We booked a table in the bar area (there's also a restaurant part) and had an excellent meal. The service was faultless from a really nice girl behind the bar, it went at just the right speed and she clearly knew about all the dishes so could offer a few recommendations. It's French but with a sort of pub element... More

It's been a while since we have last been to the Bon but am happy to report that it is even better than I remember, the staff were helpful, chatty and informative , the food was amazing ( and thanks the chef who accommodated may hatred of Brussel sprouts , and substituted them for creamed cabbage!!) Thanks again and we... More

The Bon has been the venue for our festive get together for many years now and for as long as it provides the kind of night it did last night it will remain so. There is no point in trying to describe the food or the wine or the service because I'm sure you will have heard it all before.... More

We came to the Bon to celebrate my Son in law's milestone birthday. Every part of the experience was top notch. Food was brilliant. Our party of 11 had a range of starters which all arrived together, hot, well presented and tasty, courtesy of the smiling Ella, Jess and Niamh. I had the belly pork main. Completely delicious with a... More

This place has had a recent extension, it now has an informal bar area. £35 for a 4 course meal is great value. Prawns to start French onion soup Rib eye steak Cheese and biscuits. Is what I had There are plenty of other options and the waitress could not do more for us.

Been here numerous times and always been spot on. Last night something was different. The food was fantastic as always but the service wasn't up to the usual standard. Drinks being forgot about, soup being forgot, when told we had a taxi and needed our dessert there didn't seem any urgency and we had to literally leave half our dessert.... More
