Just been for afternoon tea as a treat from my daughter. All the food was delicious, the staff were great. One thing although not a criticism it would have been a nice touch to have maybe just a couple of teas to choose from, not nearly as many as Bettys but maybe 2 or 3. Overall lovely experience.

Five matrons descended on Ashmount this afternoon. Two were celebrating their seventieth birthday. The views are brilliant. The afternoon tea was delicious the service was first class nothing too much trouble and lots of good Yorkshire humour as well. We came for afternoon tea but intend to return for an overnight stay. Thank You for a great afternoon

I had a wonderful steak at dinner, which was cooked to perfection. Simply melted in the mouth! Add to that the lovely wine and equally lovely sticky toffee pudding made it a fabulous meal.

Visiting from France Our friend from Italy! bought us a voucher for afternoon teas for Xmas, we braved the snowy conditions not to be disappointed. Very English, nice surroundings inside and out, excellent service and polite, the cakes, sandwiches biscuits etc were all wonderful and very filling including a glass of Prosecco. We hope to try the restaurant out and... More

Some friends gave us an afternoon tea voucher for Christmas. The house is a beautiful Victorian mansion with some amazing original features. Helpful staff. The afternoon tea was wholesome and most of it seemed homemade. Arguably too much for two oldies. My only complaint was the poor quality of the tea-some good leaf tea would have been welcome. Otherwise, well... More

Along with a friend I went to Ashmount Country House Hotel, for the Mulled Wine Afternoon Tea. The entire experience was delightful, and the young lady who served us was very friendly and helpful, bringing us extra tea and coffee and generally making sure everything was satisfactory without being intrusive. The sandwiches, quiche, cakes, mince pies and chocolate mousse were... More

Treated by my boss as an end of year 'thank-you', my wife and I returned to Ashmount following our mini-moon break in May for afternoon tea in late December. we were a little early for our booking, but we were seated straight away in the quaint restaurant area and served drinks. The room itself is lovely and airy with large... More

Our first time at Ashmount. We went with friends for a post Christmas dinner, booking at quite short notice. Our welcome was friendly and we were offered menses and asked for a drinks order promptly. I was a bit surprised to find only one gin on offer (Gordon's) and that the waitress had to work that out by looking through... More
