Second visit and just as good. Partner enjoyed the kiwi burger and I had the lamb kofta wrap. Excellent. Surroundings are interesting and relaxing. Right at the bottom of the main tourist street. Worth looking out for.

I went to this restaurant last night and was blown away from the moment we walked in. Lovely atmosphere and really quaint interior. The staff were really friendly and although the kiwi burger is only on the menu during the day we were able to have it last night. Starters were amazing, kiwi burger was amazing as was the wine.... Our monthly trip to Haworth wouldn't be the same without lunch at the Wharenui , however on our latest visit we went back for an evening meal . Lunch was the Kiwi burger , and bacon Brie panini , both cooked fresh and delicious , washed down with a crisp cold pint of Lindeboom and house white all that for... More

We dined at this restaurant on Monday 14th July to celebrate my birthday. We had never been before. The ambience is simply lovely. The food is divine. The members of staff are so polite yet quite chatty and nothing is too much trouble. Our waitress - well, so lovely. The chef (whose name I cannot remember but originally comes from... More

This restaurant is well worth a visit. All our starters and mains were delicious, with high quality meats and shellfish. There was also so much of it we sadly couldn't manage pudding, but the choices sounded yummy. Lovely wine too, pleasant staff and lovely decor.

We have dined a number of times at the Wharenui, but on Sunday 18th May at about 3.00pm we called in for coffee & cake. Now bear in mind that there were around 20,000 people in our smallish village enjoying the warm sunshine and evevnts with many people dressed in either period uniform or war time civvies. The owners were... More

We stayed over in Haworth on the May Day bank holiday , after a tour of the shops we dropped in to the Wharenui for our lunch , as always the waitresses are extremely polite and helpful . Our food was served promptly despite the restaurant being packed. The food is very reasonably priced but of very good quality !... More

Yum yum yum! Such a fabulous choice in lovely surroundings with very smiley staff. My brother is Matt M and he lives soooo far away, poor him... I, on the other hand, am only a few miles away, lucky me! And will be engineering a visit again very soon :-)
