What a find!

Although we have walked past many times we finally went in today...and now realise just what we have been missing! Lovely coal fire, cosy , warm inviting... Delicious wraps- full of chicken , and a well cooked burger. Hot coffee. Good service, drinks first then politely asked if we wanted to order... read more

We have been visiting Haworth for years and as such we must have walked past Wharenui dozens of times without realising. We had a fantastic meal which was very reasonably priced. The staff were fantastic and it was nice to see the chef come out of the kitchen at the end of the night and talk to customers.

On a cold February weekend in Howarth, when our small party was looking for somewhere warm to get a bite to eat hubby immediately brought to mind the LOVELY Wharenui which he had first stumbled across a few months ago 😊 He proceeded to march us down the high street and as we ducked into the cosy space the heat... An excellent venue to celebrate 32 years of marriage. The atmosphere is very pleasant, with only room for about 20 diners. It was quite when we visited. The choice of menu was good with about 7 main courses available. We chose to miss out on the starters and went straight for a main course 1x Polonesian chicken and 1 x... More

Second visit to Haworth, journeyed up cobbled street. To a little shop called H & L, for over shoulder shawl cardigan for wife. As Valentine's, a lil stroll down found this little quaint eateries, I'm 6'2 so door frames a lil low but inside like a Santa grotto.. Can seat about 24 spread over two rooms, a nice stove in... We arrived in Howarth and this was the first food place we came across walking up the main street. Instead of doing our usual of checking menu of every place before going back to the first, we just went for it! Really nice place inside, felt relaxed immediately. Food was pretty good. I had beef and onion and gravy sandwich... More

Lovely cosy atmosphere, warm friendly service. The menu has a few New Zealand twists on the usual English winter fare, but just enough to make it interesting. We had the lamb stew which was very tasty, followed by the bread and butter pudding, all washed down with a nice bottle of wine. Portion size was generous and overall reasonable value... More

Ate here a couple of years ago when new to the village. Had chorizo sausage and olive oil mash. Sausages were cremated. Ate June 2014 as had been given a gift voucher as a birthday present.. my wife was served raw pork. Pointed this out to waitress/proprietor who was apologetic and could offer no excuses. That time was definitely the... More
