Had a lovely lunch in here of Christmas Eve. Was surprised by how busy this small restaraunt was. Three of us had the haddock and chips and we all agreed it was a lovely meal. Fish was nicely battered and not at all greasy. Hand cut chips were well cooked and tasted great. The home made tartare sauce set the... More

During a recent visit to Haworth we chose the Stirrup for a coffee (and cake) break simply because the cake display in the window wouldn't allow us to pass by! My other half had the coffee and walnut cake (as usual!) and said it was one of the best he had ever had - and I can assure everyone that... More

During our visits to Haworth we always eat at the Stirrup. Great food but the Irish guy with beard (possibly the owner) is really friendly when talking to the customers but needs to handle staff a bit better, twice on our visits he is quite aggressive to the girls , they look terrified !!!

Popped into The Stirrup after the scones caught my eye! Had a very tasty warm fruit scone with cream and jam with a coffee. A nice mid afternoon biting on.

My husband and I visited this restaurant yesterday after emailing ahead to ask if they could cater for special diets. We are both vegan but I am gluten-free as well so we are not usual customers. The chef, John, came out personally and went through the menu with us - obviously pointing out the things we could eat - but... More

Last week I took a group of sixth form college students to the Stirrup restaurant for a three course meal. We were met by Pauline front of house and her team who made us extremely welcome. In fact they could not do enough for us. When one member of the party had a problem with one of the choices due... More

After very cold day wandering round a mostly closed Haworth we found The Stirrup Restaurant. We had scone, jam and cream, tea and coffee. The Stirrup is a lovely small restaurant - perhaps too small if you wanted a large meal, but very clean. The staff were very pleasant and although we only wanted a snack it didn't matter. The... Went here for a meal while visiting Haworth. What a lovely restaurant. Service was exceptional and the 2 courses we both had were beautifully cooked and presented. Will definitely return when back in Yorkshire.
