Should we have gone to Shipley, Ian ?

A surreal experience recounted here. Picture this : 15 shell-shocked footie fans in need of sustenance creating slow shape-shifting shadows in the amber aura of city centre lights stumbling on their way from the valley of parades to their places of rest. A neon sign glows a welcome - it looks like... read more

Miserable service and cheap curries at £7 each (including rice). But I would never go again as our chicken curries were very poor indeed- the chicken was unrecognizable- tiny pieces of meat that had been diced - or had somehow been salvaged. I was very hungry but gave up with mine about halfway through- I was expecting to have an... More

Since the minute me and my partner walked in we were stared at and talked about, (not in English) it was apparent that we (as a white gay couple, although not totally obviously gay) were the centre of attention... The level of service to us compared to all other customers, (all Asian) was vile... We was left waiting, unattended, while... More

Visited sheesh mahal with a group of friends. Ordered curries, the chicken Karahi was burnt, lamb Karahi was tasteless the chips were fried in dirty oil and burned, it's by far the worst curry I've had in my life! I have been to many places to eat from all around the world but sheesh mahal has the worst curries would... More

Went to Sheesh Mahal a few days ago because it was a restaurant that I had never tried before. Poppadums were nice, Rotis were hot and fresh. However, Lamb madras were very dry with no gravy at all. You could stand the whole curry up in a pile and it would stay there. Didn't taste like a curry it was... More

Me & my other half love a good curry, but have been spoilt by Bradford curries having both lived or worked there in the past. We've had some really nice ones locally in Harrogate, but always end up agreeing that it's worth a trip for a 'proper' one. Our previous favourite (won't say which) went downhill a bit & I'd... Ok, so this was the second pace I walked into. Again, shabby looking, but I was getting hungry! Ask for a beer please and done dips. Sorry, no alcohol. What! I thought this area.was home to the curry? Someone should let them know they've moved out.
