Another great find

The title makes it sound like we were the first to happen upon this cafe on the canal but this is obviously not the case judging by the previous comments. However, since my wife and I have been walking the Leeds Liverpool canal we have dropped upon several other nice little refreshment stops and so... read more

Walking along the canal, there is a little gem to be found. A wonderfully situated resting hole. This cafe has indoor and outdoor seating. It allows dogs and disable facilities. It has an area for pushchairs and bikes. The food is reasonably priced and a fantastic variety. The staff are friendly and helpful. In fact so good going for my... More

Lovely place nice staff but as always with good stuff a bit pricey. Would not stop me coming back and should not stop you visiting. You get what you pay for.

We took our 2 year old granddaughter for a walk to see the ducks when the heavens opened so we dashed into Toby's Tea Room for refreshments and shelter! We have been lots of times over the three years we have lived in Apperley Bridge and always had excellent food and service. The rain got gradually worse and it was... More

Lovely café on the canal. Great incentive to get out on bike for fresh air and cake :) Has outdoor shelter/heating. Lovely food and good service.

Stopped there for breakfast with family, it being Father's Day, all I can say disappointed. A very basic breakfast at very expensive prices, also childrens breakfast served on plastic plates ( children in question being 10 and 8 ) not a nice touch. Staff not very helpful and unwilling to change a meal ie, piece of bacon for a sausage.... More

Thanks to the sun unexpectedly coming out we were able to sit outside at this little cafe and enjoy the canal view with a cup of tea. Service was very friendly, there were loads of choices on the menu and the chocolate brownies were glorious!

Does everything I'd want a canal side cafe to do. In contrast with other reviews, we found the service to be good. Nice food, decent brew. Recommended!
