Warm welcome!

Called in during a lovely snowy walk. There's an outside seating area, carpet of grass, lovely huts with heaters to sit in and some seating without cover, where you can watch passing walkers, cyclists and runners. Looking the other way, horses and fields keep you nosey. Dogs are looked after, some... read more

Title says it all, good food, good service but over priced. It is a shame as we often walk by happy to support local business but not at Starbucks prices, £2.25 for 2 crumpets or £4.50 beans on toast!

Off the beaten track, but well worth the trip - food is always excellent and service is brilliant too. We're always so pleased to retreat inside in the winter - get there early as it does get busy - and justifiably so!

What a shame. I'd been to Toby's a couple of times this year and enjoyed a tea/coffee after walking along the canal. Great to see that someone has the drive and initiative to make a go of a place like this. Our last visit has tarnished my opinion and to be frank, shan't be rushing back. I don't mind waiting... Thank you very much for raising your complaint with us via trip advisor, I was working on Sunday and would've welcomed the opportunity to deal with this matter for you, but please rest assured I am as upset and disappointed at the service you received as you were and will address it retrospectively.. At this stage all I can do... More

After having a walk along the Leeds Liverpool canal (trying to find geo caching with kids) stumbled across this canal side tea room, sun trap setting with a great choice of sandwiches, pains, cakes and the wife's favorite a large glass of sav blanc. She's now organising weekly walks along the canal (I wonder why) Well worth getting the walking... More

We have called in a numbr of times to Toby's Tea Room & always found it pleasant. Many times we have our dog with us an it's nice that he is welcome wherever you choose to sit - outside or in. The decking area is lovely & has open & sheltered seating. On our latest trip we had lunch ...my... More

Narrowboating along the Leeds Liverpool Canal in the pouring rain, we saw the sign for Toby's Tea Room and quickly moored up. We went in dripping wet and were greeted with open arms, our wet waterproofs taken to "dry out back" while we sat down to warm drinks and good food. It was so good that we came back in... More

Lovely find, good coffee, great home cooked food, friendly service, space for dogs and bikes, relaxed atmosphere, games for kids, outdoor seating for summer - including some covered tables, indoor seating for colder days, doggie menu - all in a really lovely location. Well worth the extra walk if you haven't made it that far along the Leeds to Liverpool... More
