Full of continental charm

My partner and I came in here for drinks with my parents whilst on a visit to Bradford and found it to be such a lovely little establishment. It has all the feel of a European beer cafe and I loved the selection of local art on the walls. The knowedgeable staff were happy to advise on their real... read more

Another gem of a pub we stumbled across during our weekend in Bradford. Very nice decor, just like being in a bar in Brussels. Great choice of beers, food looks good too - although we didn't eat there! Staff were very friendly and informative. Well worth a visit!

I just wish this place had opened when I still lived in Bradford. The beer is consistently excellent, the meat and cheese platters are delicious. My parents love the pie and peas - they drink in the Sparrow at least once a week. Cannot recommend it highly enough.

My first visit here and I would return. Its a quirky place. A cafe bar by day, a lively real ale style pub by night. A really good selection of drinks are available, and some unusual drinks too. Can't comment on the food as didn't eat.

This is a small pub serving a decent selection of unusual drinks. The food offerings are very limited and the Eastern European cuisine on offer was poor. They do let you order pizzas though from a take away along the road - but that is closed on a Monday and I visited on a Monday!

This place is so versatile. I've been during the day for lunch (they do fantastic meat and cheese boards with Polish rye bread and assorted pickles/relishes), and I've been during the evening for drinks with friends. In all it's a lovely atmosphere to sit and have a chat with people in no matter what time of the day. It has... More

Without question the best pub in an otherwise uninspired city. Great beers, bearded bartenders, and colorful bunting. Our favorite every-night-of-the-week bar.

The sparrow is a very cool little bar in Bradford. One of the pioneers of the 'Indy revival' in the city centre. Interesting and tasty beers on offer, friendly staff and punters.

Smart, trendy, shabby-chic are all expressions that you could use to describe the Sparrow (as are pink, five-storeyed and in Hull, but these latter three are all untrue). There's a great choice of beer, a nice comfortable atmosphere and a feeling of being in your own local, even as a tourist. It's a lovely place to spend money on drink.... More

Visited again recently. Beer as always in tip top condition. A must for any beer lover. Food menu looked interesting though I didn't try as already eaten.
