This place is so versatile. I've been during the day for lunch (they do fantastic meat and cheese boards with Polish rye bread and assorted pickles/relishes), and I've been during the evening for drinks with friends. In all it's a lovely atmosphere to sit and have a chat with people in no matter what time of the day. It has... More

Without question the best pub in an otherwise uninspired city. Great beers, bearded bartenders, and colorful bunting. Our favorite every-night-of-the-week bar.

The sparrow is a very cool little bar in Bradford. One of the pioneers of the 'Indy revival' in the city centre. Interesting and tasty beers on offer, friendly staff and punters.

Smart, trendy, shabby-chic are all expressions that you could use to describe the Sparrow (as are pink, five-storeyed and in Hull, but these latter three are all untrue). There's a great choice of beer, a nice comfortable atmosphere and a feeling of being in your own local, even as a tourist. It's a lovely place to spend money on drink.... More

Visited again recently. Beer as always in tip top condition. A must for any beer lover. Food menu looked interesting though I didn't try as already eaten.

If you like your real ales and craft beers you will not be disappointed! The cask ale was very well kept and there was a fantastic choice of bottled beers. Why didn't I give it 5 out if 5? The staff were verging on arrogant, not very welcoming and if you don't know your ales and beers you may feel... More

I love how cosy and welcoming this place is, gray choice of ales and monthly Street food Fridays. I highly recommend this place

Bradford needs more places like this. An excellent bar with a wide variety of beers and drinks on offer. The food menu looked good, but I didn't have time to have anything to eat.

The Sparrow is a compact beer cafe, a little out of the way but in an area which is becoming a bit of a social nexus. Food selection is not huge, platters available and adventurous 'street food' (cooked outside and brought in for you) on occasional Fridays. But, beer is a food, and there are always four interesting real ales... More
