I would give it a miss!

Although the carvery was ok- meat was good but vegetables were limited, bland, some frozen- the atmosphere was not. It advertises itself as a family pub but it does not feel that way. We were seated near to a large group whose children were running riot, stealing drinks, stealing sausages from... read more

went here with my family on Christmas dinner. There were 11 of us and we came back after having a lovely Christmas dinner the year before. We got there for 2pm which was the last sitting and all the food had been ordered beforehand. We were kept waiting almost and hour before the starter arrived at our table, up until... More

As locals, this pub/restaurant is an ideal place for family get togethers. However on this occasion we've vowed never to return. On each of the last few visits there's been something wrong with our meals. Burnt scampi. Soggy sweet potato fries. Over cooked steaks. Brown salmon. Off cream served with deserts. The list could go on. This time was the... More

After reading the previous reviews about the dryness of the carvery (and it did look like the Sahara), we plumped for the two for a tenner deal. Decent well cooked steak and a reasonable chilli. Good service

Because I am really fussy this was the first time I had been to a carvery...I know that I would only be having the meat and potatoes...so was hoping they were going to be good...very disappointing...meat turkey and beef both quite dry and potatoes were the frozen variety....ok but no better....drinks very expensive...white wine and soda £4.95. .on a plus... We have been going to the 6 Acres for many years so when we decided to have a family meal out for our daughter's birthday we thought it would be ideal. I booked the table (for 17) several weeks before but on the morning of our booking they rang and asked if we could sit 'in the side bar next... More

The wait for the Morley Toby Carvery were going to be half an hour so we decided to give 6 Acers a try. First the bar, £6 odd for two cokes!!! Second on to the Carvery, cold soggy Yorkshire puddings, potatoes which appeared under cooked, tasted like they had come straight from the freezer into the microwave. The Gammon were... More

Took mother for lunch today, we both had a carvery sandwich with roast potatoes - the beef was as dry as you could get, thick gravy and rock hard potatoes. My mother also ordered a coffee which they forgot about and then when it did arrive was like tar and cold. The 6 acres is somewhere we definatley will not... More
