We had a party of 6 that visited, as we were seated we decided to get some drinks.. I only got a glass of coke and 2 glasses of diluted orange.. The total for these 3 drinks came to a whopping £7.90. I left it and then later decided to call the manager, I spoke to someone called Steve and... More

Maybe they have bad nights but we went early June on an evening and really enjoyed the meal.It was very busy and the food was fresh and plentiful.Son-in-law mentioned they had a dog and the guy carving the meat gave him the ends of the meat to take home for the dog

I agree with some of the other reviews here, but let's be honest, it is what it is. It's not somewhere you would go for an a la carte meal, but for a quick Sunday carvery, in all honesty, it's not bad. The staff could smile a bit more and be a bit more friendly, but it does have decent beers... More

An average pub with average meals. The food was ok, service was ok. I wouldn't go there for a special occasion but if it's convenient and you want a family friendly venue you could do a lot worse

I am sure that I must have been at different 6 acres..Just off the Drighlington By Pass..??Yes..Thats the one I went to (which was this) was lovely. We took our Grandson on a lovely sunny day and sat out eating in the large play area. Plenty of choice on the menu,Grandson had Hotdog and loved it. I had ham and... More

My wife and I had the carvery on a sunday night and found it absolutely disgusting. The pub was reasonably busy so there should be a quick turnover of veg but they were overcooked mush. Insipid roast potatoes, cold vegs and yorks puds. Tough meats and unrecognisable turkey all served in canteen style surroundings. Spilled vegs all over the floor... More

We had our engagement party here and they gave us a room for the night, free of charge. The staff were friendly and helpful all night, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was great. Lovely and quirky village pub, will go again soon!

A return visit after a few years, the staff were always unwelcoming but food quite nice and it wasn't hard to ignore the rudeness of the staff. It was an early Friday evening, the carvery looked as though it had been stood at least since lunch if not longer! So we ordered from the menu. What a mistake! After a... More

I went here with my family for Easter, and as you could imagine the place was packed and our table of 11 didn't help, however the pub did amazing on the day. I am always unsure eating out especially at places I've never eaten at before through to having Coeliac disease, so I came prepared and brought my own gravy.... More
