After coming across this very well lit pub we decided to take a chance and call in to have a bite to eat.... The staff were immediately pleasant and told us we had a choice of seats to choose from. . very helpful smiley .. Once the food was ordered it was a very short wait until it was served... More

Its a carvery pub, the food is ok you get what you pay for. 5 of us ate today for £37 the meat was well cooked and today, in big portions (i suspect the chap was new and this won't last ). There is a selection of sausage, stuffing and Yorkshire pudding which are home made. The veg was ok,... More

A group of 10 visited the pub after work. We found the staff welcoming and noted a good selection of beers. Due to the time we chose to dine 6.00 pm we found that there were specials on the offer. After looking at the menu we all seemed to gravitate to the carvery which had a wide selection of meats... More

Our third visit to this restaurant and still disappointed we will not be going again. I believe any restaurant does have bad days so we like to give second and third chances. Two adults and a child. We chose a window seat down stairs to start with settling in to read the menu looking out the window only to view... More

It was my second visit to this pub just to make sure the first visit wasn't a fluke. It appears to have consistently good food cooked well. On the first visit I had a pasta dish which was cooker really well not overpowering in the garlic department. My pal had the carvery delicious was the verdict. Last night I had... More

Having decided to go for the very reasonably priced Ham and Eggs on the two meals for £10 deal, I was very disappointed when it arrived at the table. It looked like it had been left in the kitchen and then microwaved when the other meals were ready. Two hard fried eggs,a pile of dried up beans and warm under... More

We had a party of 6 that visited, as we were seated we decided to get some drinks.. I only got a glass of coke and 2 glasses of diluted orange.. The total for these 3 drinks came to a whopping £7.90. I left it and then later decided to call the manager, I spoke to someone called Steve and... More

Maybe they have bad nights but we went early June on an evening and really enjoyed the meal.It was very busy and the food was fresh and plentiful.Son-in-law mentioned they had a dog and the guy carving the meat gave him the ends of the meat to take home for the dog

I agree with some of the other reviews here, but let's be honest, it is what it is. It's not somewhere you would go for an a la carte meal, but for a quick Sunday carvery, in all honesty, it's not bad. The staff could smile a bit more and be a bit more friendly, but it does have decent beers... More

An average pub with average meals. The food was ok, service was ok. I wouldn't go there for a special occasion but if it's convenient and you want a family friendly venue you could do a lot worse
