Lovely views of the moors. Great choices in dinners. Enjoyed game pie ( a first!) and lamb. Quaint interior and good service. Recommended by our hosts at the Brook House for local good pub. They were correct!

We had a room booked next door and visited after tea staff were very friendly and welcoming. Got the impression at first it wasn't for small children (due to the time) but staff where great and accommodating with us (3year old). Food was fantastic had the surf and turf, gorgeous steak and battered prawns. The meal came with Chips and... More

The waiting time for food was very long, over half an hour. The people at the table next to us came in after us and were served before us. When it finally did arrive, it was undercooked and when this issue was raised it was taken back to the kitchen, only to return burnt and rendering it inedible. The portion... More

I ordered a cheese omelette and specified well done. On cutting it, a load of raw egg trickled out. I asked for it to be cooked more, and not only did it come back burnt, but the chips I had were no longer on the plate. The waiter did apologise, and did not charge for that meal. When we paid...
