Fancied a light lunch in town but didn't want to go to a chain restaurant again. This was a great choice, I've had the prawn and avocado sandwich here before which was nice but this time I ordered the falafel and tzatiki salad which came with a whole meal pitta bread. The falafel and tzatiki were handmade by the chefs... More

My sister and I were looking for somewhere with outside seating to have breakfast, yesterday, and I suggested Charlie Harper's, because I've had lots of previous good experiences there. We managed to get a table out at the front, which needed clearing (fair enough. It was busy and we grabbed it as soon as the previous people left). What wasn't... More

I have always believed that this is the place to get the best breakfast in Chi, but a few bad experiences and that is it.I didn't complain the first few times, but the last time I did.So called fried bread - more like soaked in oil bread, which left the scrambled eggs really greasy as they were sitting on the... First of all, I completely agree with you! That particular breakfast was terrible and I apologise unreservedly for it. The chef made the mistake of adding too much milk to the eggs and furthermore to then place the eggs on top of the fried bread which did then soak the bread. As soon as this occurred, I reviewed procedures with... More

It is next to the q hairdressers, and two doors from Carluccio's . Usually there is only a few tables out front and its easy to walk past and think that's odd a few tables in the middle of the path but walk down the path winding in to find chairs and a sofa spread throughout the little path entering... Have been a customer for many years now since I moved to the area and have always had excellent service and lovely fresh food. It took going to a cafe in Petersfield today and getting rubbish service that made me realise I should say how good Charlie's is. If you are coming to Chichester as a visitor head for the... More

We have eaten here twice now and can't wait to go back again. Great value, delicious food, would recommend the eggs benedict.

Charlie's is a great place for a coffe, a snack, or a full meal from early morning until around 4pm. Not part of a chain... and it shows it.... Question or comment? You can talk to the Big Boss. You don't have to take what some executive in a suit 500 miles away decided they would deign to offer. Very... More

I am a fairly frequent visitor to Charlie Harper's and I find their food hard to beat for the money in Chichester, but of late their service is failing. I have been overcharged and received coffee different from my order recently. Each time the Manager has not been present and the staff seem to spend more time talking to each... More

Ate here as family of four. Waited around 10 mins for a table - but took that as a good sign! Wasn't disappointed - very decent sized portions of tasty food. I had the Full Cooked - served in a bowl - very effective. Others had variety of melts & sandwiches. All were enjoyed. Location is a little tucked away,... More
