Description: Located in secluded square in the heart of the historic town of Chichester, Raymond Blanc's brasserie serves mouthwatering, authentic French dishes inspired by his childhood in France. The brasserie is warm and inviting and you will be welcomed by a knowledgeable and friendly team who will ensure that your experience is an enjoyable wine. The extensive a la carte menu changes with the seasons and uses fresh, seasonal and local (where possible) ingredients to create classic dishes such as bouef bourgignone and moules marinieres. The set menu (fantastic value priced from £10.95 for two courses, add a glass of house wine for £2.50) changes monthly meaning that there is always a reason to visit. In warmer weather take advantage of the pretty outdoor terrace for a leisurely lunch or dinner.Whether visiting for a simple lunch or a celebration, Brasserie Blanc in Chichester is the perfect venue.

We have eaten here quite a few times over the past few years. The food is usually very good and the service excellent. Slightly let down this time by a very boring raspberry mousse (which was a bit of jelly with a tasteless sloppy mixture on top) but I have had a blackcurrant mousse in the past which was excellent.

I have eaten at this restaurant numerous times, with friends and family. None of my dinner companions have ever been disappointed. The food is delicious and the service is exemplary. I lived in France many years and so have eaten many a fine French meal. Also, like with most French restaurants, although Brasserie Blanc is a high quality dining establishment,... More

Visited a couple of Sundays ago. Have been here once before and been favourably impressed. The high standard of both food, service and ambience was the same. Restaurant is attractively decorated too with interesting art works. Nice clean toilets too (always rate a place on its loos)! Good for all ages (except perhaps the very young). Room to eat outside... More

Set back from the road in its own paved square is one of the chain of Brasserie Blanc, owned by renowned French chef Raymond Blanc and it, quite rightly, carries his reputation as well as his name; it is great to report that it lives up to its billing. Attractive frontage with its burgundy awnings, which carry the branding logo,... More

Chichester was for many years something of a gastronomic desert with the possible exception of Comme Ca in Broyle Road (which has itself recently closed) and the restaurant at the Festival Theatre. Some years ago I was entertained to note a fish and chip shop (part of a small now defunct chain) near the station was temporarily closed due to... More

I was a bit dubious about going here, having read some recent bad reviews. However I was pleasantly surprised. The service was very quick, our food arrived very promptly. The food was tasty and of a reasonable price considering the quality. There was a nice selection of wines. For 3 people having starter, main and dessert, plus drinks it was... More

We had lunch with 2 friends in this restaurant and found the food and the service to be excellent and we had an unhurried lunch (3 hours), time to catch up with friends and not be rushed by the staff. They catered very well for my very restrictive diet and came up with good suggestions and the food served was... More

We met up with family the other Saturday evening and Brassirie were able to accommodate us at short notice. Effortless and relaxing, most enjoyable evening with 1st rate service and without fuss. Able to concentrate on chatting and ambience. Certainly recommend

We went to Brasserie Blanc for lunch last week & can only say how disappointed we were with the whole experience. This was not our first visit but it will be our last! We wanted a nice leisurely lunch (an issue we’ve had with them before) & mentioned this to the waitress. Unfortunately it appeared to fall on deaf ears... More
