Many years ago some friends and I did a Gales Ales pub crawl that involved getting a card stamped at I think 20 pubs, fortunately not all on the same night, to collect a free T shirt..... The pubs were generally good the beer certainly was, the T shirt was crap and shrunk first time it saw a washing machine.... More

Although the lunch menu is, I think, a little more limited than the dinner menu, the Park Tavern maintains a high standard - the crabmeat muffin topped with Cheddar cheese was very tasty. the resident dogs are delightful, and the place is wonderfully dog-friendly. and it's an easy walk from the theatre too.

I don't normally do Sunday roasts..but looking around the roast looked good. My partner and I decided on 2 roasts.she had lamb.I decided on the combination..lamb,beef and pork loin stuffed. I live in central Chichester and have a choice of pubs (living right next to one in particular) but without a doubt the Park Tavern is my favourite. Because it's honest. It's not a fancy London-wannabe bar, it's not a harvester, it's not anything but a proper pub. Decent food, great staff, dog friendly and a good selection of beer.... More

Can't believe all the good reviews ...! Too me it was a very average pub with ok beer, greasy school dinner like food and terrible staff . --

Enjoyed a delicious meal last night, supper club menu, fantastic value Service was chilled but still attentive which sounds like a contradiction in terms but wasn't Buzzy atmosphere which was thoroughly enjoyable And to top it all dog friendly, thank you to the Park Tavern. Will visit again should I be in Chichester!

We had a wonderful lunch in this beautiful pub...and clearly a popular one judging from the crowd. We only had cheese and chutney sandwiches but they came on great bread with a salad and potato chips. Love the resident dogs...they put a smile on your face. The pub is located next to Priory Park which is a nice place to... More

I had seen the reviews, but only read MikeE372 after we had eaten their. My experience mirrors that, the menu was not what I had expected, it was a throwback menu to the pre gastro pub era. It had a limited menu and basics of fish and chips, steak and pies with chips. I had a steak and ale pie, which... More

Am sat in the Park Tavern just now having eaten a massive "pulley dog" (hot dog covered in pulled pork and cheese, with a generous serving of fries) for £8, which was value in my eyes. We were just walking past, hungry, so took a chance. Great decision. My food was brilliant. I know this pulled pork thing is trendy... More

We visited this pub as a pre theatre venue on the basis of the menu published on their website and previous reviews, however be warned there are 2 websites for this pub as it now appears to be under different management. The menu we were offered was considerably smaller than anticipated. We can't comment on the food as we decided... More
