We had a wonderful lunch in this beautiful pub...and clearly a popular one judging from the crowd. We only had cheese and chutney sandwiches but they came on great bread with a salad and potato chips. Love the resident dogs...they put a smile on your face. The pub is located next to Priory Park which is a nice place to... More

I had seen the reviews, but only read MikeE372 after we had eaten their. My experience mirrors that, the menu was not what I had expected, it was a throwback menu to the pre gastro pub era. It had a limited menu and basics of fish and chips, steak and pies with chips. I had a steak and ale pie, which... More

Am sat in the Park Tavern just now having eaten a massive "pulley dog" (hot dog covered in pulled pork and cheese, with a generous serving of fries) for £8, which was value in my eyes. We were just walking past, hungry, so took a chance. Great decision. My food was brilliant. I know this pulled pork thing is trendy... More

We visited this pub as a pre theatre venue on the basis of the menu published on their website and previous reviews, however be warned there are 2 websites for this pub as it now appears to be under different management. The menu we were offered was considerably smaller than anticipated. We can't comment on the food as we decided... More

This pub is the epitome of how a pub should be. Enough locals to make it feel local, but plenty of passing trade to make it feel comfortable. Decor is great, staff friendly and food comforting. Dog friendly even though the park opposite is not, we hope to make this our regular when we move to Chichester later this year.

Warm welcome; good atmosphere; great beer; excellent food and all overseen by George and Hank! Tucked away from the high street, the pub has a good local clientele. Don't tell the "foodies" (see notice in Gents!) as they might all flock here for the cheese covered crab meat which was remarkable!

Visited this atmospheric place on a number of occasions and have never been disappointed. The food isn't fancy but fab. Try the hot dogs, around 7 pounds with chips! Quirky decor, a Mod vibe and two handsome dogs whom the children love to stroke wander around happily. Tables outside over looking priory park.

We visited on Friday night of Glorious goodwood, on arrival it was heaving - outside and in and we really didn't expect to get a table for food, but after speaking to the bar staff they found is a table, which we then didn't leave until closing! The food was top notch, no microwave rubbish, we had the steak deal... More

Had several pints of bitters with the wife. Enjoyed a customized fried cheese platter I requested and without any hassles, got more than I expected! Small place but comfy and very welcoming. Expect to here plenty of Classic Rock however not loud. This is off main street which can get very crowded even on a rainy day. If you are... More

If you want an authentic pub experience, this place has to be on your list. The food is usual pub fare but is just done so much better than hundreds of other pubs, restaurant quality food in a great environment. No soggy over cooked vegetables or reheated pre-packaged food here and the pork pies are the best in the country.There... More
