We stopped here for breakfast after a dog walk. In a good location for walking around Lavant and north of Chichester. Full breakfast was ok - sausages appeared abit cheap, other options were a bit basic if you didn't want the full Monty. Hot chocolate was more like warm chocolate and generally the tables downstairs were subject to a draft.... More

On arriving it looks like you're turning in to a farm yard. On closer inspection it's a nice cafe come restaurant serving breakfast up to midday then lunch and evening meals. See website for exact times. Pleasant service , nice food, quiet setting.

My family and I recently revisited the restaurant having heard about the recent refurbishment and new seasonal menus on offer. The refurbishment has been done very tastefully, giving a modern sophisticate vibe to what as already a very pleasant atmosphere and but making the restaurant feel more spacious. The range of food on offer was very good, and seemed to... More

Five of us booked in for Saturday lunch (my parents-in-law were treating us) and for the second time as a group everything was beautifully cooked and well presented. We are extremely fussy about eating out so we are so surprised to read people have been disappointed with the meat at Wellies; we can say hand on our hearts we have... More

My hubby came for Sunday brunch, and were very impressed. It's a fun, quirky place, really rather rather and incredibly cosy. Perfect place for a hangover! We both had the full English, and I have to say - often full English breakfasts in places like this can be rather "plastic looking" and overcooked. But this was just delicious. I asked... More

Stopped off at Wellies during a Sunday morning bike ride for coffee and cakes. There were fourteen in our group and we were made most welcome, our orders were taken and even though the restaurant was reasonably busy, we were not kept waiting at all for our food and drink. The coffee was piping hot and the scones were lovely!

Off the beaten track it may be, but this restaurant is well worth a visit. Although in reality only a short distance outside Chichester, it seems to be deep in the countryside and I don't think I would have found it without the sat-nav. Based in a converted farm building, it makes good use of its unusual environment with restrained... More

This is a lovely restaurant set in the middle of nowhere and I think it only opens at lunchtime, until about 4 or 5. The inside is lovely, well decorated and clean. All of the food seems to be freshly and very well cooked. There isn't a massive choice but we've never struggled to choose something. They seem to have about... More

Went here on a queit evening for dinner. Thought the food was delicious and all presented nicely in quirky serveware; cute little jugs, mason jars etc. The restaurant itself is really interesting, a converted barn with a really nice rustic feel to it. My only complaint would be that the lamb in the main course we had was quite fatty... More
