We visited Wellies for the third time yesterday and had a lovely dinner. The service was excellent. The chairs are a bit low for the height of the table so a cushion may be needed by some! We were told the lamb would be served pink but it was actually medium, but otherwise the food was very good. The sea... More

What a little gem! We couldn't believe the excellent standard of food and service that we received; and at such reasonable prices. We will certainly be returning as such a positive experience.

Friends took me to Wellies so it is very awkward to make a fuss. I just left my meal half way through as the burger was so tough that I gave up on it. The best part of the meal was the local ice cream. Glad I was not paying the bill !!

My wife and I visited Wellies for the first time last week. We hadn't booked but they had one free table on the ground floor which was fine for us. We skipped a starter and went straight to the main; a massive salmon fish cake with poached egg and a Wellie-burger. Both were excellent; well presented and very tasty! We... More

Being TripAdvisor addicts who eat out at least once a week we needed a change - wow, why did we leave it so long to look for Wellies ?! I had the sirloin steak which was served as requested "just pink" beautifully presented and tasted amazing. My husband had a burger and loved it, so lovely to be given a... More

Refreshing to know a restaurant where the front-of-house staff are all women (well, I've never seen a man there). Wellies was my late father's favourite restaurant. He was a devoted fan of Wellies' brunches (only on Sundays). The brucnhes are basically a full English breakfast consisting of all those nutritional no-no's that his GP advised against eating. His argument was... More

We have just enjoyed a very good evening dinner. The menu was imaginative and interestingly presented. The service was good and attentive but in no way were we rushed. The restaurant has fairly recently been refurbished and is tastefully decorated and airy. My only complaint is that the new tables are a little too high for the chairs. Maybe cushions... More

We visited Wellies last week for lunch. It’s a couple of miles from the centre of Chichester & is one of the restaurants we had yet to try locally & is worth the venture outside the city. My partner went for one of the Wellies classic dishes, Steak Guinness & mushroom pie which she thoroughly enjoyed & I went for... More

This is our second visit as we were so impressed the first time with this lovely little out of the way restaurant that we had to go back. The food is home cooked and delicious. They have a good selection of fresh local produce and wines which they sell by the glass. Charlotte the owner is charming as are the... More
