Gorgeous location, decent food & friendly staff.

I came here with my husband and mum. We had an afternoon tea. We were served ham, egg, Brie and cranberry sandwiches, together with a selection of cakes and treats. The service was good and very attentive. The restaurant itself is lovely and presentable. Even the toilets are a pleasure to go in... read more

Visited this place on 17/07/15 with my Mum who likes the finer things in life. I paid £12.95 for two people (half price with Groupon deal). The setting was lovely although out of the way but easy to find with Sat Nav. We sat outside on the decking in the sunshine and the setting was lovely. The waitress was lovely,... More

Thank you for giving us a report on trip advisor. I am so glad that you enjoyed the Afternoon Tea. I was especially gratified that you enjoyed the scones which I make myself in small batches so that they are fresh. Please reassure your mother that the Earl Grey was most definitely Twinings. I am an Earl Grey drinker myself... More

Great location near Chichester and easy parking. Lovely outside seating area, great food, and lovely relaxed and friendly atmosphere! My kids loved the Greek sharing platter and the chocolate cake..... my lunch was great too!

The people were very nice and the tea was lovely. Not a hard place to find, but on the road to not a lot. Set in lovely countryside but you need to go out of your way to pass it.

Our afternoon tea was simply the best. We were made to feel very special and the attentive service was not obtrusive. The delicious sandwiches, the best scones we had ever tasted and the cakes and meringues certainly didn't help our waist lines but we wouldn't have missed the experience. We can't recommend Wellies enough - excellent food, choice of teas... More

Wellies is a great place to go for breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea. The staff are very welcoming. We dropped in after walking our dog at Kingly Vale. We sat on the deck at the back in the beautiful sunshine and our dog was made very welcome and was given water too. I'll be going back for lunch with some... More

Apart from two others, we appeared to be the only people (4) for lunch that day. Food was very good as was the service. Sat outside and had a relaxing time over a couple of hours. Fishcakes/Caesar Salad/Ham egg and chips/Quiche and ice cream to follow. Situated in the middle of the countryside west of Chichester, I think they need... More

Went here for lunch organised by a friend as had been several times before and previously had a enjoyable meal. On arrival shown to table given menus. Not until our orders were being taken were we informed that they could not serve alcohol due to the new owner not having a licence. As a party of 6 out on a... More
