Lovely lunch!

Nice quirky little place to have lunch but it does get busy! The portions are generous and the ploughman's is gorgeous. We were lucky and found a table quickly but had to wait about half an hour for our food- which on this occasion we didn't mind as were so busy chatting! Prices are reasonable... read more

Went there today for lunch with my parents. The food is homemade and excellent. Good price, pleasant service and a lovely place to eat. I really recommend this place.

We chose this restaurant as it looked a little more interesting than several others we had passed. The menu is supplemented by lots of specials which are on the blackboard. The restaurant is in a 12c crypt albeit the building was said to have been a merchants hall in centuries gone by. An unusual surrounding for a restaurant but it... More

Stopped off here for lunch and must say my ham and cheese toastie was delicious! Proper ham with tasty cheese in the 12 century surroundings of a crypt!

I had a chicken and leak pie served with hot vegetables for lunch here back in June. My portion was huge! It was extremely filling. The pastry was short crust. Very rich but ideal for a traveler on a cold day. This is a very atmospheric place. I really liked looking up and seeing the arches. Very historic place. Nice... More

Staff overwhelmed by the number wishing to eat there.....although this might be good for the quality of food, we arrived to find tables still groaning from dirty dishes. We waited a good ten minutes before somebody came to clear and then took ou order. Five minutes later the waitress came back and told us we would have to wait 25... More

Recently had the misfortune to eat at this cafe and was very disappointed. On entering the cafe, several tables had been vacated but the tables had not been cleared. I ordered "Beef Lasagne" + 2 coffees for 2 ,costing around £24, not cheap but the cafe is located in Chichester City centre. First the good points: coffee was good, salad... More
