Dinner, Thursday evening. Pretty busy with the Goodwood Revival. Reception very organised, order your meals as you arrive. We'd booked, but they were also able to accommodate those arriving on spec, with a short wait. Barmaid was super quick. Food hot, plentiful, enjoyable, service efficient although we didn't feel hurried. Liked the décor, the meal was not expensive, would go... More

My wife & mother meet thier french relations hear yesterday for lunch. They found the menu which is on a large blackboard difficult to get to read as everyone gathers around this obviously but when your mother is unable to stand it means running back a forth to the table top give her the options. My wife wanted a ginger... More

Really good food, spacious, big garden and parking... average prices, nice atmosphere. Good dining place for families but also for parties, business lunches or dinners... Two big dining areas and separate bar area. During Christmas all tables are nicely decorated. It it is weekend I would rather book a table, they might be very busy. Service is very nice.

This was our third visit to The Walnut Tree as we are regularly in the area because we own a Church Farm caravan. However it will be our last. We visited at lunchtime on Sunday 31 August and sat outside as the weather was pleasant and we had our Labrador with us. Having waited for over thirty minutes for our... More

Have been a regular at the Walnut Tree for many years and have always had great meals and service. Hired it out for my Mums 70th Birthday. Once again excellent service and quality of food, especially as the party size was so big. Would highly recommend.

We visited on a very wet Bank Holiday Monday. The pub was very busy and it was gone 2pm but despite this we were found a table. Considering how busy the restaurant and pub were the service was pretty good and the food came up very quickly. We ordered some starters - garlic bread which was very delicious and some... More

I visited this pub with my wife and a friend on Tuesday at lunchtime. Our friend knew of the pub from years ago when she lived in UK. On arrival, it was encouraging to see the car park fairly full and the outside appearance of the pub was pleasing. We received a friendly greeting on entering and ordered drinks before... More

Having visited this venue following a recommendation during a recent holiday our group experienced excellent food, friendly staff who were very accommodating to one of our party who was a wheelchair user. We enjoyed it so much that we booked a table and returned with a larger group a few days later and experienced the same excellent service. We concur with... More

I visited this pub/restaurant twice whilst on holiday with family, one of whom is in a wheelchair. It has a lovely friendly atmosphere and although there is disabled access there are no disabled toilets, which proved difficult. However, I cannot fault the food..the mini quiche salad was served with new potatoes and coleslaw and was a real plateful. On my... More
