Nothing Special

Lovely looking large pub situated on A27. I had a ploughman's lunch - cheeses were very bland and the celery was inedible - not a good choice. Asked for some different but still very stringy. Burger looked okay but who wants peanut butter with it!

After a disappointing visit to another pub nearby and having to leave, The White Swan quickly accommodated our party of 10 with no trouble at all. The service was friendly, efficient and quick. Everyone of us enjoyed our meal.

Excellent freshly cooked food and very good service. This is not a cheap or very expensive restaurant, but the quality of the food and portion size was extremely good. I had the home made chicken & mushroom pie, my daughter had scallops, king prawns & squid with salad, my husband had roast beef and all the trimmings and my nephew... More

Stopped for a lunch and enjoyed a burger with peanut butter.......sounds crazy but really tasty!! Also had a good gluten free menu for my wife who enjoyed the fish pie. Pleasant surroundings and good service at a reasonable price, we will visit again when passing.

We booked a table but it wasn’t necessary, perhaps the wild weather on a wet Friday was keeping people away???? Large area for eating and drinking. Not very warm and lacking atmosphere. Good selection of ales. Decent food, pub grub; J’s meal included quite a large portion of thick cut chips (personally I think the trend towards thick chips is... More

As we entered the restaurant, I noticed how it desperately needed renovation. Even though it was clean (especially the toilets), because of the bad condition of the furniture and walls, it looked dirty and really untidy. When we went there, it was pretty quiet but still after a waiter took our drinks order, we were forgotten and we had to... More

Stayed a few days with freinds. Very good value for money. Loved the room. I had everything I needed. The tv could be a bit bigger for my liking. Food was fantastic. Well done chef. I would definitely visit again if I had the opportunity.
