Nice warm atmosphere including a small secluded garden area. Good varied & interesting menu giving plenty of choice. Service was very friendly if a tad slow but it was Arundel Festival time and very busy. The attached deli is well worth a visit too, Enjoy!

Gaskyns has tasty lunch time food, coffee and cakes menu. Sadly waiting 40 minutes for a sandwich takes the pleasure out of eating it. I prefer to be told before I order that there is likely to be a long wait and therefore make my own decision about whether to wait, rather than when I have had to ask 20... More

Thank you for your review and we are sorry you had a long wait. The Arundel festival is a very busy time and we did have an enormous number of people this year. Although a sandwich in itself does not take a long time to make, it would not be fair to skip orders in order to do the quicker... More

We stumbled across this place on our way to the wetland centre, and decided to have lunch. The food (Welsh rarebit) was nicely presented and well done. I was impressed by the variety of drinks on the menu, this is one way independents can steal a march on the big coffee shop chains by specialising and offering something a bit... More

Dreadful, never been in Gaskyns before thought we would give it a try now I know why there were so few people in it absolutely awful, the coffee was lovely but the noise was terrible it was occupied by a few single mums with their screaming kids, would of walked out without paying but the coffee was nice such a... This is completely unreasonable! These people came in on an advertised children's activity group morning and expected all of the children to be silent. We are very obviously a child friendly café and the group was already in progress when these people arrived. Our children's groups happen Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings and are well advertised the remainder of the... More

We popped in not knowing what to expect but the service was brilliant, they were very welcoming of our children & the place was kitted out well for kids. The service was friendly, menu sounded great and food was tasty.

Visited this friendly cafe and had an excellant lunch. The service was friendly and they were very understanding of my dietary needs. I had a fantastic gluten and dairy free soup and sandwich and my oartner had the normal soup and a sandwich. Both enjoyed our food and the visit. Will return.

This place is on the edge of town just over the river, away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre which can be evident especially at weekends. Service is good, comfortable sofas and the coffee is served hot in large cups/mugs. Newspapers are there for your perusal and you can watch the world go by from the large... More

Very lovely, helpful staff. Great, homemade food. Couldn't recommend highly enough if you have young children. There are toys and a welcoming atmosphere.
