The Sunday carvery certainly proved to be good value for money as the quality of the food was very good. The Carvery offered a choice of beef, pork, turkey and gammon and the meat proved to be very well cooked and portions were most generous. A good selection of vegetables was offered and the roast potatoes were crisp and delicious.... More

We had a table reserved but on arrival were emphatically told we couldn't sit on several tables that were not displaying a reserved sign. The overall ambiance seemed to be more of a café or snack bar but I presume this would improve on a sunny day when sitting outdoors would be pleasant. The member of staff attending tables was... Went with another couple for lunch, staff very friendly, food plentiful, beef cooked just as I like it, fresh bread on the table. Fairly expensive, but lovely setting by the river, ask for a window table if possible. My one gripe, the windows could do with a good clean.

We stopped by chance for a light lunch and had a table by the river. Very sweet and enjoyable break from travelling on a hot day. Food was nice and the staff very friendly. Good choice for a lunch stop!

This place has amazing potential and is at a beautiful location, but unfortunately, in my opinion the owner needs to have a good rethink. I found the service to be plain rude, the restaurant dark on a really sunny day and the outside area unkept and untidy. There are many far better restaurants in nearby Arundel. Seems to me that... I have been coming to this restaurant since it first opened many years ago. Have never been disappointed with the quality of the staff or the food. Only negative is that it does smell rather of fish - I know fish is served but it is very slightly unpleasant to a non fish eater. Carvery is always good, very generous,... More
