This place used to be our local when we lived in cov but this is our first visit for a while since moving to rugby. Disappointed that they didn't have any draught ale, only gas filled keg bitter. You also now have to pay extra if you want beef with your carvery. Glad I didn't tho as it looked tough... More

We visited friends in Coventry and we had a long journey home after been their all weekend. We had to be out of are hotel for 11am. I rang the pub up to find out what time they served till and the lady was very polite. We got their 5 mins before they stopped serving breakfast. When we went in... More

We had a carvery here, even though there is a menu available for other meals if you aren't keen on the carvery option. There are options for starters, but we just had the carvery, for the price per person (under £5) You can have a hearty meal with all the trimmings, beautifuly cooked. It tends to get very busy but... popped in for breakfast. I use the carvery a couple of times a month - basic good roast at a sensible price but always seems a bit pensioners-lunch-club to me. tried the breakfast once before and was annoyed that a set quantity of bacon & sausages was served to you and then you chose your other items, which isn't the... we sometimes go here for a sunday carvery and what a carvery. Plenty of good food on the plate at a very very reasonable price and even more reasonable in the week. This is by far the best carvey i've been to around the cov/leam area, would be hard to beat. would def recommend to anyone for a sunday carvery.

Found this CC quite by chance on the way to the motorway. Possibly not sited in the best part of the city suberbs but who cares for a £4.29 meal. Its a fairly general, non standard simple affair. Nothing to shout about, certainly the last place id take a group for a 'celebration' event. However, if you are after a... More

This carvery has ample parking spaces and is ideal for people who want a full blown carvery with all the trimmings with a quick turnaround. Our experience was that staff are not always available to show you to your table as the place tends to get very busy. So we just tend to grab a table and join the queue.... More

I regularly visit The Walsgrave when in Coventry and prefer it over the Toby Carvery also available in the city. I advise visiting during the week as it is substantially cheaper and Sundays do not offer anything more;.. usually they provide Turkey, Gammon, Beef/pork, some variety of pie or sausages but they also have a varied menu of alternate dishes... We visit a lot and I thought it was about time to write a review on here! Me and my girlfriend and her uncle and aunty came for a lovely meal out! The staff were great and provided great service. The food was piping hot and the chef always carves the meat to my girlfriends request. Great value for money... More

we are frequent visitors to the walsgrave , it is our favorite carvery, we have never had a bad dinner there, it is always busy with many returning customers, it has been taken over many times over the years, but the service and the food are still excelent.
