Been to this bar/restaurant a couple of times. Nothing special nice decor, but no vibe or atmosphere about it. Went last night 18th October 2013 & was refused because we were"not the usual crowd" !!!!!!! Bar wasn't that busy,We were not drunk. Nicely dressed. Obviously the Bigoted Doorman didn't think we were Gay enough !!!! We gave our patronage to the... More

Walked in & felt the most uncomfortable we have ever felt walking into a gay bar. Atmosphere awful & bar staff didn't even look at us. Walked out again!

Went in last night with a couple of friends. It was quiet, and both the service and the quality of food were excellent. Really impressed as I know people have had mixed experiences. If it's as good as it was last night, will definitely be back again!!

Visited on Sat with a friend for lunch before we went to Birmingham Old Rep. I love the interior of Loft Lounge. We decided on the £5 lunch special, I was not disappointed with my chicken breast smothered in bbq sauce, topped with bacon and cheese, salad leaves and fries and a small lager, my friend had her favourite ham... From the outside it looks impressive, however the inside is a tatty take on a New York loft! Staff are slow and not knowledgeable on cocktail making, myself and friends ordered food which was very sub standard for the price. You'd be better going to weather spoons instead of wasting your money here. The staff look like there on some... More

The setting is very nice with good touches, the staff friendly and helpful, but the food was a bit of a disappointment. The quality did not seem to match the expectation, good value, but I was expecting more than I would be used to at a chain pub.

Sunday roast Quantities; One more slice of beef would have done it. More roast potatoes and more gravey. Appart from that its good for a last minute lunch or breakfast.

Nice stop for a quiet drink with attentive service and an involved management. Food always good and consistently so but value for money average because in this city you can eat well for very low prices. Easy for this place to be a regular watering hole.
