Description: Opus Restaurant, in Birmingham’s business district, is a top spot for a business lunch or a schmoozey dinner. The cavernous dining room is a dramatic open space decorated in muted hues. The team at Opus are proud of their modern British menu which showcases locally sourced free range meats and freshly caught fish. Favourites include the Lyme Bay Scallops with Belly of Pork and the Grilled Lobster served with Chips and Garlic Butter. The glamorous waiting staff are super-friendly, and the renowned in-house patisserie gives you a great excuse to have a naughty limoncello-cheesecake ending to your meal. It would be rude not to.

My wife had wanted to try this restaurant for some time and we recently went to celebrate her birthday. Unfortunately it was a midweek night and not very many people in quite a large space, but we had a great time! Food was excellent. It was well cooked, nicely presented and served by knowledgeable and friendly staff! It's not cheap,... More

We usually dine at Cafe Opus at Ikon in Minday evening. Because there was a private event on Monday, this week, we tried the big brother- Opus Restaurant in Cornwall Street. Both of us chose the same starter, a celery and apple salad which was nicely presented and very tasty too. For the main course one of us had the... More

Lovely restaurant: good atmosphere & well laid out. Service & food good. In comparison to similar restaurants, rather over priced.

I am struggling to write anything about this restaurant because it was just faultless. This is the ideal place for getting together with friends, or celebrating with comfort and style. The food was delicious, the service was friendly but discrete, and the ambience was just perfect. I had wanted to book Purnells but couldnt get a table. I think I... More

We joined their Friday fish dinner for my partner's birthday It was really busy, good atmosphere. Great value for money, fine dining experience. Great staff and all the chefs came out to meet us which is a nice touch and good for the chefs to reap the rewards of happy customers! Looking forward to going back for my birthday next... More

An absolutely delicious meal, great service and stylish but relaxed restaurant. A truly lovely time. We couldn't recommend it more. We had the Sunday lunch offer, which is great value and quality amazingly including 1/2 a lobster.

Really liked the layout and ambience of this restaurant. The staff were friendly and attentive and the service overall was excellent. The food on the whole was well cooked and there was a good selection - I had the smoked salmon starter and an excellent fillet of beef on the bone. The eaton mess pudding was delicious. What I would... More

We hed not been to Opus before but were recommended to go by my son. Apparently, there is a good meal deal Mon - Fri evening and Saturday 6pm - 7pm with competitively priced one, two or three courses at £10, £14 and £16 respectively. We chose from the a la carte menu. I had haddock fishcake with quail's egg... More

We have been to Opus on several occasions and have generally found it to serve good well presented dishes at reasonable prices considering the food quality. On this occasion we spent a 2 hour Lunch on a Friday afternoon and ate a mixture of the A la carte and their Market Menu dishes which they were quite happy to mix... More
