Itihaas is a stunning restaurant where contemporary meets traditional. No expense has been spared in achieving this, and as you step into this two million pounds restaurant, you will certainly see just that. To complete the real ambience, behind 300 year old Indian wooden doors is the Tiffin Room which seats 12, complete with a bar, library and your very own dedicated butler!Cuisine in this fine establishment is created by award winning chefs and staff who come from Indian Five-Star Hotel backgrounds. They have a single aim - to be able to deliver the authentic Royal Indian dining experience to its patrons with utmost courtesy and hospitality. A delight

This is a fabulous place to meet a friend and chat over great food. The waiters are attentive without being over the top and the food is excellent without being too much . You have a large choice of dishes and I have never been disappointed with any of the meals delivered.

I visited Itihaas with my wife on our 11th wedding anniversary. The atmosphere was ambient accompanied by excellent, professional and friendly service. The staff were extremely polite and welcoming. Kawal took the order and was knowledgable in the food they serve. He couldn't do enough to make us feel special and was very genuine. We also ordered amazing mocktails specially... More

We arrive at the restaurant and the decor was lovely. We were seated in a nice location and shortly after the bar man came a took drinks order. The menu was small but had a great selection of authentic Indian cuisine. I started with the prawns, they were over cooked and very hard, but still quite nice just not worth... More

It was a Tuesday night & late on so the place was very quiet. From walking through the door to the end of the night waiter Kawal really looked after us. I am a bit of an Indian conessour and I must say the Tandori king prawn starters where the best I have ever had. Admitted they where'nt cheap but... More

I am a huge fan of indian starters. I especially enjoyed their chilli paneer starter. The mains were average.

I fancied a curry for lunch, so I thought whilst perusing through Selfridges in the Birmingham Bull Ring I thought I would give this a try. The food arrived, it looked clean and well presented and it was quite warm, however the food was bland and tasteless and at no stage did the management come over and ask just once... More

This was our first visit here after we have been wanting to experience this restaurant for some time having read so much about it and seen it featured on Michel Roux's "Service" BBC program. We had a very warm welcome from the maître de. We had a table away from the canal side and it was a little dark, but... More

Never been here before but will definitely come again. Very busy which is a good sign and the starters were delicious. For me and my husband the best part of the meal was the fact that they make soya curry like no one else. Really delicious. Very nicely decorated too. Would definitely recommend for anyone who likes a good authentic... More

Great meal with faultless service. Situated on the canal side it was a beautiful evening but the doors were not open on this occasion. Tables well set out and not too crowded. Waiters were very knowledgeable about the meals and made helpful recommendations. Ajay personally made sure all was well. Incense was a little strong when we first arrived.
