The bar area is nice, good atmosphere and spacious. The staff were all friendly, efficient and helpful it was just a shame about the food. Everything was just mediocre, the sea bass was ok, as was the steak and fries. I feel the bar helps this place out no end as the food is pub like and over priced.

We went to the Bank for a meal for my birthday, there were eleven of us on the table and the setting was great. When you enter you are greeted at the door and signed in if you are dining. We had a couple of the drinks in the busy bar area and were then informed out table was ready.... More

We booked a table for our Xmas meal as an office. We reserved a table of 20+. We were seated at the back of the restaurant and were cramped in. The food was excellent as always I was there the day before had the tikka sea bass I highly recommend it. For our Xmas meal we had smoked salmon, sirloin... More

They really pack you in. Table of 19 pre-booked and we tried to eat shoulder to shoulder!! Not pleasant - had to take it in turns to take a mouthful. Table waitresses were lovely, but so-called attendant on cloaks was very snooty and quite rude - when she eventually turned up to take our coats. For a Tuesday night a... More

This is a spacious restaurant which accommodates a large number of diners but my dining companion and I found the service to be very satisfactory and well up to coping with such a large number of customers. I chose the Christmas specials - the chestnut and parsnip soup was pleasingly sweet and very tasty - I could eat a bowl... More

Dinner Saturday 13-Dec, restaurant was busy but with a reservation we were shown promptly to our table which turned out to be in the covered outdoor area, had a wobble and was directly under an electric heater. Initial drinks arrived quickly followed by most of the starters, one of them not for our table and one arrived after everyone else... More

We visited The Bank restaurant as a group of four at 6pm on a Saturday evening. Superb service all the way. Coats taken on arrival and lead to table. Not the best of table location but we had booked this restaurant late and they had a number of Christmas parties so didn't really mind. Rikki our waitress was very helpful... More
