Been here a couple of times now and last time was on a Groupon/Wowcher deal. Food has been good and service too on both occasions. Do not compare this place to your regular Friday/Saturday night balti/curry house as it is totally different. Menu pricing is a little more expensive than your average but with a Groupon/Wowcher it's better value. Note... More

We'd been in the summer to the Jewellery Quater branch and the food was quite nice. There were 5 of us that went last night and the food portions were a lot smaller and we didn't enjoy the food as much. The Chilli Cassava was 2/3 of its original portion and lacked the yum factor. The mains were very bland... More

We had previously thought that this was a place for cakes (they advertise eggless cakes) but popped in Saturday afternoon mid November, and were pleasantly surprised. 6 adults and we ordered a mixture of chaat/spring rolls/mogo and one pot masala tea (enough for 3 ) - came out at approx £25. Decor is simple (usual brown tables and chairs, travel... More

I visited with my family and they all like it very much. Our main requirement was Vegetarian restaurant only but we find very good Vegetarian restaurant with very tasty and delicious food. We were coming back from North Wales and looking for Vegetarian restaurant near Birmingham. When we reach there they had booking for one group party but they managed... More

Our Birmingham experience ended with visit to this place. Enjoyed Pani puri, Bhel and Chat. It was as authentic as I would find in best places in Mumbai. If i visit Birmingham again, I certainly will be visiting.

When I eat at places like Deepalis, I realise that what I have known as Indian food for years is so far off the mark that I am left humbled by the pleasure of the dinner I've just shared here. There's really is no relationship to the menu you see at a jobbing Indian takeaway and this. As well as... More

Lunch at the original Albert Road branch in Sparkbrook. Lucky to have the owner Dee cooking for lunch today, it's always good but when she's in the kitchen it's amazing. A brilliant crispy, crunchy Samosa chaat for starter, great mixture of chick peas, yoghurt, tamarind and peppers. Masala dosa is out of this world---beautifully crispy on the outside and soft... I visited Deepali's in the Jewellery Quarter last night along with three others. We used a living social voucher. The waiter that greeted us was well presented and the place looked clean and modern. We didn't have any problems with the service at all. We chose off a set menu and ordered chilli paneer in addition as it's our favourite... More

Ordered dahi bhalla for starter which tasted like water cos it was soaked in water before being served, no flavor at all unless you have the spoonful of sauce with it, surprised by the size of roti and the price they charge for it, it's £1 which I found to be extortionate, later I ordered naan with the hope of... Recently we spent a couple of days in Birmingham and when I saw the Living Social deal for Deepalis I decided it would be a nice venue for an evening meal out, as we both enjoy vegetarian food (although we are not vegetarian) and Indian food. We booked a table in the Jewellery Quarter, and from the moment we arrived... More
