We visited the Red Oven for the first time on 14.9.14. The Sunday lunch buffet was simple, but very tasty. Freshly cooked starters and Nan Bread, two meat curries and two vegetarian curries with Pilau Rice on offer. Also there was dessert available. Not widely advertised but very good value at £5.95 per head for adults. Extensive drinks and wine... More

Absolutely love this restaurant. From when you enter to when you eat you are fully focused on by the staff here. They are very accommodating and are kind and courteous. From pouring drinks and offering fresh glasses makes the experience really enjoyable. The food is also very good and the flavours are great as well as the portion sizes. Definite... More

Came to this place after having a good first time visit. But served me chicken curry after ordering a mock chicken curry. Worst of all he was very defensive and blamed me saying it was my fault. Will never come back as he knew I was a pure vegetarian.

One of the best indian restaurants in Birmingham. Not unreasonably priced compared to high end indian restaurants in birmingham and the food is just as good if not better. Good ambience and amazing food. Have been here about 15 times and thoroughly enjoyed each visit. The restaurant also does external catering for functions which is great quality food and I... More

2nd time I've been here, but the 1st time in nearly a year. I don't know why I don't visit more often. Booked a table for 7 adults & 5 kids, it was the most chilled out place for our families. The staff were great, the food was great (was glad to hear it wasn't halal, hopefully they stay like... More

Brilliant first visit. We came for the Sunday lunch buffet. I was very happy as I am a fan of popodoms and there were plenty with fresh salad and dips. Our starter came out piping hot and were delicious, both my mom and I had the spring rolls and union bhajis. For main there was a choice of chicken or lentil... More

Came here with friends on Bank Holiday Monday, having been very impressed with the Red Oven food at the Lightwoods Park Festival that day. The restaurant is light and well-furnished. Service was okay but one of the waitresses did not seem to know anything about the dishes on the menu. Food was fine but pricey. We shared two naans and... More
