Big Portions, Lovely Meal

A hidden gem ! Never been before, but pushed the boat out and thought we'd give it a try tonight. Quirky, quaint and pleasingly traditional interior. Very homely. The food itself is plentiful, of amazing quality and very flavoursome. It'd be best described as 'rustic and hearty' in style. I had the famous 'soup in bread' as a starter (... More

Had a lovely leisurely lunch with friends. Food was good, restaurant full of character, staff super helpful and friendly. Great place to meet as it's easily within walking distance of New Street train station and the Bullring.

An amazing and fulfilling treat awaits this who ignore the area and external appearance of this gem. Delightful staff and a cosy ambiance make this cellar eatery a special place. Food is very rustic and very filling, lots of flavour and super hearty salads. Not for the faint hearted, I suspect Gluten is in every dish and you won't find... More

Met up here with a group of relative strangers in a large group. I have lived in Birmingham for ten years and I didn't know about it. It is an amazing place. The seats are covered with sheepskins and it is cosy and homely. I had the lamb which was beautiful and the other dishes looked lovely too but no... More

Went to Karczma for trying something different and I was very disappointed. The stuffed chicken was dry and my friend's pork dish chewy. Staff was not helpful. Perhaps it's simply not my taste but I won't be back anytime soon.

Celebratory meal with friends was all the more enjoyable thanks to the Karczma. The food is fantastic, beer and vodkas are brilliant and the service was impeccable. I could not recommend it more strongly.

A must visit. Ok this place is not in the glitzy west of Birmingham but it is situated in the dark mysterious ex industrial east. Perfect...such is Poland. The food and staff ...mysterious...fresh...and you are there...transported..long live..this little den.

Good food. Nice service. Charming decor in a Polish theme. Perogis were very tasty! Reasonably priced. I have been here twice and enjoyed it both times.

My partner and I went to this restaurant on a double date. Everything was OTT which seemed charming to begin with but became overbearing on a full stomach. There is a vintage Honey Buzzard above the bar which, given their current protection under Schedule 1 of the Wildlife & Countryside Act 1981, I hope is as old as it looks.... More
