As a member of the Polish expat community, I remember this venue from the old days when it was just the cafe of the Polish Community Centre in whose premises it resides. The food is good and satisfying and the service attentive and more professional than in the old days but the prices are, in my opinion, a little higher... More

Approaching the restaurant I was a little dubious by the exterior however the inside more than makes up for it, you won't have been to a restaurant like it certainly not in Birmingham. The service was friendly. Portions are huge we had the herring, sheep cheese and bacon and beetroot starters all were delicious. For mains we had the trout... More

Greatest example of Polish food cooked with care. I'm proud to say, this is the place, where you can taste/feel what real food means.

Visited The Karczma during June for my birthday with my fiancée. I was excited to try a new cuisine and a new experience for the first time and I wasn't let down. Not knowing the menu we ordered a dumpling and peirogi starter and then each had a main. This made the waiter laugh and ask the question "have you... More

Visited last month with a few friends of ours, we have never tried polish food before so we thought - why not?! It was a bit different to what we got used to, but I suppose we have to try everything to be able to compare?! ;) Friendly staff, big portions, the food was really good - especially the dumplings... Visited Karczma for my boyfriends birthday after reading good reviews on trip advisor. Very nice atmosphere and interesting decor, which makes you feel like you are actually in Poland. For our drinks we ordered polish beer 'Tyskie', it was a good beer and came in beautiful clay pint mugs. To start I chose grilled sheep's cheese wrapped in bacon, which... More

Great food in generous portions, good beer and friendly service. Fill your boots with starters, soups, dumplings and mains as puddings aren't quite up to par by comparison. Will definitely eat here again - look out for decent offers on Amazon Local.

Another wonderful evening at this friendly polish restaurant in heart of Birmingham. great atmosphere, friendly helpful staff. Polish beer very good served in clay tankards. Huge portions . This time most of us did not have a starter but just the bread and gherkins, so we could try the desserts. The ribs were delicious , beef olives excellent.we had a... More
