Polish delight - excellent food

I really recommend this place. The food is just excellent and the serving is exceptional. The price is not too high as well so I personally think of this place as being one of the best in Birmingham. Went there the second time as well and it is just getting better and better can't wait to eat there... read more

Great service, the guy who took our order was friendly and helpful, guiding us through various unfamilar options. Portions were substantial and the price was very reasonable. Food was excellent too

A smiling and personal welcome at the door. Imaginatively created decor, rustic styled furniture lavishly softened by many sheep skins. The menu, was presented in wooden bindings- it's content I'd read on line but still found fascinating. Starters including; stuffed dumplings, smoke sheep's cheese grilled in bacon, and beefy tripe soup. Mains; Roast Pork Knuckle, beef stew served on a... More

So we were looking for something different for our occasional meal out with friends and I spotty this was fairly high up in the restaurants to go to on trip advisor. Having never been to a Polish restaurant before we thought we would give this a go. The reviews were good and we now realise accurate.Situated in central Birmingham, the... More

Polish food is really nice and similar to what I used to eat and miss a lot. We go there with my Baltic girls once a month. I try different meals there to explore the menu, the beef in potato pancake is the best though. I highly recommend this place :)

I can't fault this good little restaurant. If you are looking for something different and non - chain as we were this is an outstanding example of what hard work can achieve. It's not Michelin star stuff but it's not pretending to be either so just enjoy the genuine experience.

We came here on Valentine's Day, before going to a concert. The decor is very cool - they've fairly successfully re-created a rustic Polish restaurant, and they have the hearty country food to match. A couple of appetizers, a couple of meals (both the beef olives and the pork knuckle were spectacular), and we were pleasantly stuffed but still eating... More

With my partner being Polish, we have vitiated The Karczma quite a few times and have always had a really great time. Whether we visited for a romantic dinner, a special occasion or dining out with friends, we have always really enjoyed the great choice of freshly prepared food with a nice selection of wine and beer. Vegetarianism isn't the... More

We visited this place for a wedding anniversary meal. The food was lovely. We began with soup which was tasty and wholesome. We the tried the Pierogi which were delicious. The main was generous and tasty followed by an ordinary pudding. Overall the food was great the service was good, the drink needs to have more variety. The decor is... More
