Delightful surprise

Went out with my family for a meal, we all love Indian food and we were not disappointed. The flavours of each meal were simply delightful, the lamb just melted in your mouth and the chicken was succulent. We all loved the fact that naan breads were not oily and the cumin rice was simply... read more

Upon welcoming the service was spot on. The restaurant was quiet but looked cosy and welcoming. I don't mind having a table with no linen but when the table is sticky from last week's drinks and chutneys it's very disappointing, not to mention the cutlery! Papadoms were decent but the accompaniments were dreadful. There was however something saving this restaurant.... More

My siblings and I recently held a joint birthday party to celebrate our dad’s 65th and mum’s 60th birthday. From the moment we made the call to enquire about prices and availability, the team at Sanskrit were nothing but helpful. The whole process was very simple – we placed a deposit and then finalised a menu (as Sikhs, we requested... More

I came here with my friends from the South and was thoroughly amazed by the vast amount of vege dishes available for us! Absolutely outstanding service and a friendly atmosphere! Very clean and busy (which is always a good sign)! I was not disappointed after our long travelling, very happy customers! Will be back in the Summer :) Thank you.

Just had an Amazing time. Met up with old university friends and visited a recommended restaurant. Met sethi and pooch, both managers who were very empathic and caring, we had two children. We ordered gosh saag, rajistan chicken. Delicious. I ordered off the menu, chicken and keema- absolutely delicious, it was too die-for! You definitely highly recommend. Thank you pooja... More

Disgusting food that tasted old and looked like its been the bin. Rude head chef/owner. When i called to complain the chef told me not to come back. Even our 4 year old child felt sick after eating the plain rice. This place should be avoided and its an awful wate of money. You are better off going to the... More

I love coming to Sanskrit. The food is always very tasty. The staff are very friendly and efficient. My favourite dishes have to be the philli philli chicken starter- very spicy however the flavouring is very nice. I also love the butter chicken and the garlic naan. One of my favourite indian restaurants.

We went here on the off chance as our favorite restaurant across the road had closed for refurb. The service was very slow as there was only 2 staff in. Considering this was a Saturday I would have expected more. The food was average and the portions were quite small. I was not impressed with the toilet m they wasn't... More

Was in the Birmingham area with work and traffic through Brum was at its best.Had to pass Sanskrit and was overjoyed to see the lights on so spoke to my good lady and we decided on a take away. I must have got there as the restaurant was opening but still the owner and his wife were both very welcoming.... More
