Great place for lunch - before or after shopping

We thought we we would check out the Jewellery Quarter and asked our taxi driver to recommend somewhere for lunch. He made a good choice.  The name gives a clue that this is a converted industrial premises so expect plenty of exposed brick. It is a bright and airy space largely staffed by young... read more

Went for a treat with my partnet and shared a few tapas plates. The prawns and chorizo were faves but everything was yummy and the venue has some lovely outside space on the roof so will be great in summer time. Not very busy when we visited so were served quickly and staff were pleasant.

They penciled us in for a wedding meal and contacted us on a couple of occasions to sort out finer details. A month or so later, the Manager phoned to say that another couple taken our place for the following reasons: they were bringing more guests; they paid the deposit straight away. Prior to this, we had no idea there... More

we arrived here unexpectedly having tried the pub over the road for a dog-friendly Sunday lunch, and they didn't serve food on a Sunday. The Drop Forge let us in with our dog, I don't think they do it as a matter of course. We had a lovely Sunday lunch, roasts and a beef burger, all presented well and very... More

Went there last night for the first time. Excellent food in terms of presentation, preparation and portion size. Nice choice of beers. Smart restaurant but also pub atmosphere. 2 min walk from Jewellery Otr train station.

Visited early afternoon after it had been recommended by a friend who had been before. Choose the burger and must say it very nice. A very relaxing place to eat and drink. Very good selection of beers and a nice menu. Staff were very professional and friendly.

Today I visited for Sunday lunch with my wife. The layout of the restaurant is pleasant, an open central area covered by a skylight (great on a bright day). The only downside is that it can be a little bit cool in winter. My Sunday roast included a good sized portion of tender beef with crispy Yorkshire pud, accompanied by... More
